The fame is in the name, the restaurant is rich in its traditional food and best in style to feel and experience the true Indian food. Lovely place to have a catch up, it's ambience adds more glamour to any event. Highly recommend!

I came for a dine-in experience with my parent. It was really nice that while waiting for the food, someone offered both of us a warm drink on the restaurant, which was really nice and out of the ordinary. Aside from that, the food (jera aloo and chicken butter) was fresh and yummy and the price was convenient.

Food, service and people absolutely amazing, ambience is comfortable vibes. Aloo tiki chaat was amazing and panner tikka was delicious. Finally the combo of Veg biryani and Dal Maharani topped up the dinner. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

All the curries were really liquidy. The chicken had 3 small piece of chicken and the mushroom and pea curry was also very watery with just a tiny amount of mushroom and pea. Everything was very salty and the biryani also had only 2 little bits of chicken. Def the worst indian food we have ordered and it was over $80 for very little substance by the end

Great food, convenient location on Chapel Street. Small but cosy. Could improve atmosphere by moving drinks fridge in hallway and TV and menus out of the window but didn't detract from a great meal and experience. Good staff, one waitress who took care of all tables.

Delicious meal! Had butter chicken, a fish curry and naan. Naan was fresh, buttery and delicious. Curries were great too, esp the butter chicken. Nice place that was pretty empty about 6pm on sat but got busier later. Cosy and not noisy at all when I was there. Friendly non intrusive service. Would go back when in the area.

Overall food was quite good, with a few issues.Chicken tikka masala was shockingly hot. Two people with reasonably high spice tolerances were turned off. Had to add yoghurt to the leftovers to be eaten. The friend who recommended this restaurant commented that the same curry had a completely different level of spice last week and was surprised by what we received.The vegan curry with cauliflower and potato was delicious, but not really in any sauce as such. Didn't really go well over a bed of rice, so it was eaten on its own.Both curry dishes were quite tasty minus the above issues; the spice mix in the vegan curry was nice and the char on the chicken pieces in the tikka masala was beautiful. The garlic naan was also a standout. Food was delivered quickly and packaged well. Still piping hot on arrival. But the unexplainable heat in a curry not meant to be particularly hot was baffling.

I talked with the person on the phone he was good but the star is for the wait I had and unfortunately I got some glass pieces in my food which I happen to chew.. I raised the concern to the person he was good to me and said he will look after my order next time..now all the restaurants are closed and I came from work starving so, will go for some fast food I guess.
