Tokyo Den All You Can Eat Japanese Restaurant
Great selection of Japanese food, however the food quality is not the best, you definitely pay for what you get $40 is what you paying for, seafood sashimi was thick and not fresh, or maybe fresh but been in the fridge since the morning. Not bad, it’s ok

I like Japanese food and buffets, but unfortunately Tokyo den did not meet my expectations. If your are planning to visit, park at Westfield’s and walk over only takes less than 3mins.For this review I am going to compare Tokyo Den (TD) to Okami (O) because it’s very similar.1. Price - adult costs around $43.80 (TD) and $39.80 (O). Kids under 4 eat free while kids above 4 years cost $20.80 (O) and $19.80 (O)2. Food - TD offers 50 dishes in the buffet, while O around 40 dishes. Even though TD offer more dishes, but a lot of repeat dish share the same ingredients or food type just presented in a different way. O provides more unique and nicer food.3. Taste & Quality - the dishes served at TD are very low quality, poor plate presentation and poorly sliced sashimi. O provides quality food that taste delicious as well as being presentable.4. Portion & Quantity - TD offers smaller plates and pieces, which means you need to order double the amount except for the beef dishes because once you have 1-2 of those plates you don’t want to eat no more. Please note: if you order too much and cannot finish, they charge $10 for every 100g! Is it true I’m not sure. O serves the better portions but still requires doubling amount for certain dishes.5. Ordering method - TD requires you to fill out a form with the dish quantity, which I found annoying whenever you order your next round a new sheet to fill. O is much simpler, you tell the staff which dishes and they serve.6. Drinks - TD does not offer alcohol only soft drinks. O offers alcohol and soft drinks. (Both do not include drinks in buffet)7. Service - TD has two levels to serve, lacks staff and serving is noticeably slower. O dining room is larger hence 1 level only. Has more staff members and serving is majority faster and sometimes instant except for some dishes.8. Payment - TD offers all kind of payments. What I liked is you can pay with ShopBack with 8% cash back. O offers cash and credit card payment only.Lastly, the reason why I’m giving 3 stars is because both my son and I got food poisoning. For me it was within 30mins leaving and for my son the next day in which we felt unwell.

Quite a disappointing meal. $40.8 per person. Staff were friendly and helpful which was great to see considering how busy they are. The food however takes quite a long time to be served unless the dish have been pre-cooked.Sushi had too much rice! Forgotten about photos but have never seen this much rice ever in a sushi. Could barely taste the salmon or whatever the fillings were due to the amount of rice.Wagyu beef. Didn’t really think it was wagyu beef to be honest. Lots of tenderiser & baking soda used as you can also taste it. Yes it was tender, but not naturally.Sashimi platter didn’t show up for about an hour which they probably had forgotten which was addressed quickly but the plate we had didn’t smell and taste good. Salmon was probably nearly off or just isn’t sashimi grade. Tuna as you can tell from the photos just didn’t look appetising. The fried stuff and dessert were decent. I guess you get what you pay for right? Unfortunately, won’t be returning.

Came here for dinner and it was quite busy. Lively restaurant for a good value meal. The beef dishes were quite good, as well as the fried rice and chicken katsu. The grilled nigiri was also quite nice. The gyoza and takoyaki was decent too.Only thing that was a major letdown was the sashimi platter and nigiri, not having that freshness to it, which is important for a Japanese restaurant and myself being a huge fan of sashimi.Drinks were reasonably priced.Desserts were tasty.

Buffet with Style“umi no sachi, yama no sachi” (“bounty of the oceans, bounty of the land”).Upgraded menu with even more choices, an intense focus on made to order freshness, coupled with professional freindly service, makes the perfect mix for something different for a family friendly feast. Fine fare at a fair price. Thanks Jason and the Tokyo Den team for making our dining a great experience.W'ell see you at the Den!

Tokyo Den All You Can Eat Japanese Restaurant
The Tokyo Den is a hard working quality assured restaurant. The staff are eager to serve you with a simple prolonged eye contact. We arrived at 5.30 after travelling two hours from home just for this restaurant and vivid. I was blown away by the complexity and texture of the food. It has set the standard for me on what I should expect when consuming genuine Japanese cuisine. The venue is excellent with kenshi girl decor and a taste of new world meets old world. I felt almost guilty for how much I enjoyed it.If I could rate it higher I would. Ignore the minority of bad reviews from people who think they know what good food tastes like.10/10 will come again

Tokyo Den All You Can Eat Japanese Restaurant
Food was pretty decent for an all-you-can-eat restaurant, and ratings are relative to other AYCE places.Personally, I'd skip the prawn gyoza (mushy filling); tempura veg (greasy); the seafood salad" on cucumber (comically sad - see photo) but everything else I tried was worth trying. While the food is not top notch

We made a booking for lunch and arriving at 12:15pm seats were already filling up downstairs and upstairs. The sushi selection was not extensive, not usually the type of sushi we ordinarily have, but for what it was it was good. There were a couple with cold slightly firmer rice but the rest was good. We ordered some sashimi which were fresh - though the cuts were a bit thicker than what I prefer. The cheese salmon nigiri (not pictured) and california roll (not pictured) were fresh made as the rice was still slightly warm. The vegetable spring rolls (not pictured) were hot and fresh but too much wrap and not enough filling. The gyoza was juicy on the inside with a crispy exterior - we ordered this twice. The miso was hot but watered down and had an unpleasant taste. The beef cuts were a hit or miss - some pieces were tender while others were chewy (we also tried the wasabi beef - not a fan of wasabi but the mix of mayo made it really subtle and adds just enough kick to the dish). Overall a good first experience, service was efficient and food came out within 5-10 minutes of ordering.

This is the best experience I ever had period. Love sushi and love buffets. Attended tonight with my friends who I hadn''t met since uni and boy was this fantastic. So much high quality food and even ice cream - id highly recommend using the ice cream as palate cleansers in between the many many dishes you would eat at this place. It simply was the best. Service was great and considering how many customers there were and how many items we ordered, the speed of delivery was decent.Definitely recommend people who love steak, sushi and buffets to attend this gem of a place.
