Savemore Supermarket Clearance Centres

Great bargains and discount clearance shop for mostly food and grocery items in the south east of Melbourne on Princes Hwy. It's approximately a 40 min drive from Melbourne CBD, and plenty of parking around the side. Lots of good deals on chocolates (cadbury, kinder), cheese, freezer items and ready microwave meals, ice cream, gum, breakfast cereals, muesli bars, chips, protein drinks, plus many other varieties of stuff.Stock rotates weekly so sometimes of they've run out, they've run out, and there will be something new in its place. Most items are either close to the best before date, or just after.

The groceries here are super cheap it’s really good. We walked out with a shopping trolley of stuff once and it cost just over $20. They still advertise items that aren’t in stock and some pictures are completely different from the actual product. And sometimes they shut 10-15 minutes earlier than what’s signed. Everyone’s really friendly and polite here.

Went for the first time on a Saturday around 12-1ish. Pretty packed - luckily got a park on site but there is also street parking nearby, and I noticed some people were parking at the back of the nearby gas station and just walking.As it was busy, you had to manoeuvre around people and aisles. It’s sorted by fridge items first like butter, yogurt, cream, etc. Then your dry foods in the middle, and at the back the frozen foods. They had run out of trolleys and baskets so if you can I suggest bringing bags or a market trolley. Line was long to check out as they only have 2 lanes but staff were great and really worked hard to stock shelves, get people checked out, etc.Prices are mostly good but compare things to their usual and weigh up if it’s actually a bargain. Also suggest checking your use by and best before dates. If you’re not fussed by dates then you should be fine.

A few items are out of date.Just double-check the best before or expiration date.What you see online doesn't mean it will be in stock as it runs out quickly.It's always seems busy here.Parking outside.

Usually can get some quality food and great deals here. Downside is they sell a lot of stuff that isn't almost expired but already well past its best before

It is a clearance store. So please note half of the items are already passed the best before date and half of them are very close to that date.But you will get variety of snacks, chocolates and drinks in this shop. Sometimes you may get a superb deal. But the quantity would be large. You will end up filling all your kitchen cabinets, :)Kindly dont expect the same level of customer service of Coles or woolies from the kids who work here. Sometimes they wont even respond to your question :)

Much ado about nothing. Went for advertised cheap Easter eggs... cheaper to be had at Coles/ Woolies/ Aldi. Other product lines are fairly limited and nothing worth the drive.

Love going to Savemore Clearance Centre always plenty of quality food at reasonable prices.

Also missing are the cheeses.In fact, many vertical refrigerating units are gone.___________________________OK if you are prepared to buy items past used by or best used before dates. It depends on what surpluses the supermarket is able to source from. During festive seasons, there are plenty of relevant items at discounted prices on sale.Just be careful.with juices which past best used date. Fermentation may happen and excessive gas produced inside the bottle.
