Very interesting place to explore the history and art of Yarrabah. It was a surprise to see my family have donated items to show the history.

Great traditional art work & stories

Fantastic place ! Met Bernie junior who talked to us about the history in the area and gave great insights into aboriginal family relations. He explained the use of tools and weapons and ceremonial shields, explained about aboriginal archeology all over Queensland, provided info on aboriginal dancing in Queensland, showed us the art exhibition with his partner and we came away with a better understanding of aboriginal culture. Info on how aboriginal children were taken from their parents and transported there from all over Queensland was terrible to hear about. The exhibits of basket weaving were simply amazing! They should do a video of this place and show it on ABC! Also a good sign on the Bruce Highway advertising it would be a good idea! Staff were very generous with their time as well. Highly recommended.
