Disappointing experience today food and service wise. Kids meal was great but that's about it. Entire eggs bene dish was cold and eggs underdone. Salad leaves that came with parma were wilted. Waitress was rather inattentive. Told us to grab our own menus and sit down even though the cafe was not busy. Came back 15 mins later to ask if we wanted water. Order was missing an add on hashbrown and instead of just putting it through when we told her she brought the order slip to show us the hashbrown was not on there. Well, why would it be on there if she forgot to put it on there? Great location with many amazing cafes nearby so I would give this place a miss.

During a busy time, Cafe Java was able to provide us seating for 8 people. Thank you. Good environment with indoor and outdoor seating, and a fully stocked bar. They use T2 tea which was great. Polite staff. Only minus 1 star because one of our group's food tickets got dropped in the kitchen which delayed service. Otherwise highly recommended.

Relaxed, unhurried and unpretentious local cafe with a strong following of loyal customers sitting around to chat and pass the day. Food quite good and happy hour wine just $6 a glass.

If I could put no stars I would… Big breakfast had runny scrambled eggs, slightly burnt bacon, quarter of a mushroom, small pot of baked beans that was ice cold-not even slightly warm! Sausage tasted off. Needless to say I did not eat. The coffee was watery and when I told manager her simple response was “ I will let the chef know.” No offer of refund or re-cook just a blank expression.

Visiting from NSW, came at the recommendation of a local.Was so good we came for breakfast twice! The chai latte was so awesome, I got a second as takeaway. :p Hubby said coffee was really good. Food was yummy and filling. We had the hash stack, waffles and a brekky roll. Hash stack was a star choice.Street is full of other cool places.Something for everyone, would recommend to others. :)

A fine place to stop for a good decent and well priced meal. Friendly and courteous staff and our meals came out within 10-15nins. I thoroughly enjoyed my Salt and Pepper Calamari with a great balance of chips, salad and delicious calamari with tartare sauce on the side. My wife enjoyed her Veal Parmigiana with chips and salad too.Afterwards we both had coffees and shared a delicious Lemon Meringue tart.Enjoyed our dining experience, though the background music from the radio was a bit ordinary. Happy to return again.
