I would highly recommend staying clear of these guys, they are cowboys!! They claim to be Luxury Builders" yet their finishes are of volume builder standard. I would rather use Metricon for a fraction of the price to get the same end result"

Thank the team for delivering us a beautiful family space. We could not be happier with the result and the process. Our dealings with Ramsay Builders were more than professional: they cared about our project and went beyond expectations. We found them to be a very thorough, considerate and respectful team of builders, who were happy to trouble-shoot any issues as they arose. Our knockdown and rebuilt project consisted of a modern contemporary house with lots of glass windows and doors and skylights built to a detailed architectural design and specification. We started our project in the midst of the pandemic and there were quite a bit uncertainty around, and we were very concerned at first, but so lucky to have Brett and his team there, like a guardian angel, escorting us through a thunderstorm.The decision to choose Ramsay during the tender process was an easy one - based primarily on Brett’s communication, professional knowledge, state-of-art project management measures and most important of all, enthusiasm for the build. Though there were a handful of unexpected council planning challenges that arose during the build, none were too big for Brett to resolve and with minimal project impact too. The close relationships that he has built with his various tradespeople are quite evident and reflected in the high level of craftsmanship that were delivered in our finished product. For a person that have never built before, there can be lots of questions and “hearsay”, but Brett bridged this gap seamlessly and dispelled doubts by putting in the time to clearly explain and articulate how each aspect or process of the build worked. From the outset I was impressed with their organisation, reliability and ease to deal with. When some minor adjustments had to be made along the way, Brett and his team had good solutions and was responsive to requests. They were always focused on achieving a balance between quality outcome and affordability.The building was hence done with care and precision. We are over the moon with the result. Everyone who sees it is full of admiration. Importantly, they were also able to kept within our budget and time frame, ensured that we could move into our house on time, which we really appreciated, especially during such a challenging time.I know different people may have different building experiences, but with Ramsay Builders, you will only have one: assured. We would heartily recommend Brett and his team to anyone thinking about a build.

I had many issues with Ramsay Builders over the course of approximately nine months. I never even got near to a building contract. Approximately “10 concept plans” as they noted were undertaken. A lot of these had amendments that were incorrectly updated and had to be constantly redone, and guidance from the team was not up to the high standard we received prior to signing the preliminary agreement. I do not deny changing from an original specification of approximately a 46-48 square home to approximately a 60 square over the concept plan stages. However, this was based off budget and original price estimations per square. During the concept plan process, I was not informed of the degree of which prices were rising and spent months on plans that were way over budget once the price rises were accounted for. In turn, ended up around 50 squares with minimal updates once aware of the new pricing schedule.I also experienced lack of professionalism as I was sworn at in a design meeting which was very upsetting. I was also told by the director that doing a follow up call once every one to two weeks for up to 15 minutes was a hassle to him. Additionally, I raised multiple concerns throughout to request speeding up the process, but was not provided flexibility and was constantly told they were going above and beyond, when frequently being compared to their average client. When I’m planning to spend over $1m, I would like to feel that my concerns are heard and worked through accordingly.Further, on numerous occasions, I advised of things I wanted such as a larger garage door, shower doors in all bathrooms, and soap holders in all showers. Instead, I got told that these things were not needed, which kept making me feel patronised as I had to justify my requirements.I should have taken into account the negative reviews here as much as the references that were provided to me when deciding to sign up. I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and have been extremely disappointed with the service received and process undertaken, and am much happier to no longer be dealing with them. For outstanding issues with them, I will need to go to VCAT to resolve.
