Grand Cedar

The food has gone downhill since the opening. The pictures of the food on the website bears no resemblance to what is provided. Just last week the chicken was burnt and dry, it was not eaten. I can't remember the last food forum. The last meeting we had was held during the day so family members can't attend to say something on behalf of the loved ones. The good side is the nurses and care staff are wonderful.

I am working with agency and usually do shifts in this facility(Grand Cedar). My experience with the staff is pretty good here....but while doing a night shift here the nurse working with me behaved in a really bad manner...just because of my phone rang as my sister supposed to come to give me food as everyone knows while working with agency you get random shifts most of the times...she asked me is your grandmother in hospital ..is your mother in hospital or your father...or your dog is about to die..she could have simply asked me why is your phone ringing while you are working...n i would have totally understood that...but by saying these things she really hurt my emotions...nobody wants their parents or any loved ones to be in a condition that they need to be in hospital...she must be earning more than me(PCA) as being a nurse...but nobody supposed to behave like this with anyone...

Great place for nect step for elderly people who can't look after themselves. Has library theatre arts group great chef for all foods. Large enough rooms.

I have previously worked at Grand Cedar and found it to be a lovely, modern, clean aged care facility. The staff and carers are all fantastic - especially Suzie - she's professional, knowledgeable and always happy to help. The lifestyle team are great too, always smiling and making sure the residents have fun with interesting activities to do.The food is delicious and there's plenty of on-site parking as well.

Friendly helpful staff. Spacious common room and comfortable seating. Tasteful restful decor. Very new.

I would like to convey a heartfelt “Thank you” for making my father’s stay at Grand Cedar a home away from home. The care, compassion, professional manner and general friendliness of all the staff were second to none, the facilities were beautiful and the food fantastic. Everyone made the transition to care as smooth as possible making him feel comfortable and cared for. Thank you.

Wonderful staff and beautiful place

Having worked in Aged Care in the 1990s I was completely blown away at how far they had come on a recent tour. The very apparent care, friendliness and warm rooms make me feel happy for loving family to move here if it becomes necessary. It's full of light and beautifully clean. There's a cinema room, hairdressing room, private dining room, vegetable garden and great kitchen facilities. Ambrose, the lovable resident dog also made sure we were welcomed. Thanks for showing us around. 5 stars from me.

Friendly staff, great facilities, lovely architecture

A beautiful Aged Care facility with warm, kind and generous staff who go out of their way to make residents and their families feel safe and welcomed. Great ambience and would recommend to anyone. Thank you Suzie for all your help.
