Mont De Lancey Historic Homestead

Lovely place to visit. Please support the area as they're run by volunteers! The tour is very well worth it, brings you around the estate and into the historical buildings rich with history which are all very well preserved.

Really beautiful place to visit, museum was interesting (well what we saw of it, was closed for the blacksmiths festival). Can see why people choose to have weddings here too. Perfect location for it.We saw the blacksmiths festival here and the forge is really well stocked, and used! We will definitely be keeping our eye out for other events here.

Filled a good day here enjoyed roaming around the beautiful gardens, view a lot of history, enjoyed a coffee and baked goods at the restaurant also brought crafted goods from the cancer ladies auxiliary display. Had a great day out with my mum and Daughter. Entry fee well worth it.

Mont De Lancey is a great place to visit for a few hours rich in history. The 1hr Yesterday tour I paid $15:00 for was well worth it. Our tour guide Peter i think his name was very friendly and informative about the place and the local history. He also happily answered any questions we had. The two peas in pod cafe has some yummy snacks, light lunches and drinks reasonably priced. The museum and gift shop areas were great to browse through as well. I definitely recommend a look.

Beautiful gardens and the blacksmith area was great! The staff were all really friendly and enjoyed welcoming you to the site. The blacksmith staff were particularly funny and also explained quite a bit about what they were doing. A decent cafe on site too for brunch, and some stunning surrounding views.

We were part of the Wessex Viking age, medieval reenactment group, that had a working display set up. The crowd, over the weekend seemed to be having a great time.

A great piece of historical Homestead, but didn't open inside today,enjoyed touring the Garden so much.

A wonderful day out here. Lovely well cared for groundsGreat for photos but it was cloudy when we visited - still photos were decent (check them out). Friendly volunteers with an excellent guide (thank you Rhonda!) leading the way in showcasing a few of the historic buildings. A small museum as well but we didn't have the time to browse thoroughly. A must go if you're in the vicinity perhaps at the start of their opening hours so that the family has time to take it all in. It was quiet on Wednesday and the smithy was closed" but we did get an impromptu tour of the large blacksmith building which was awesome. Bought a few items there which will make great keepsakes. Highly recommended!"
