Hilary Holmes Makeup

Hilary Holmes salon is beautiful, unfortunately Hilary’s service was disappointing. I was fortunate to have the lovely Kelsey services. She was kind, friendly and showed interest in what hair and makeup I wanted. She did a beautiful job in a friendly and professional manner. My friend, who was also the birthday girl, paid extra to have Hilary herself. Hilary’s demeanour was indifferent in the way she conducted herself when interacting with the birthday girl. I found her condescending and lacked attention to detail. The advertised services of drinks and nibbles were only provided at our request. At the end, lovely Kelsey touched up our hair and makeup (as we had all been in the studio for 3 hours). I then asked if she could get Hilary who had been out back to come out and give the birthday girl her final touch ups. Instead of attending to her client she yelled from the back room she can buy her lipsticks at the front counter. Kelsey completed the touch ups on the birthday girl who was not her client and did so with a smile. Hilary did not come out and say goodbye when we left. If you are expecting premium service and pleasant experience I would not recommend Hilary Holmes Makeup.

Hilary and her team have a special kind of talent where they have you leaving the salon feeling empowered and confident! The salon itself is beautiful and inviting, the conversations always engaging and very entertaining... the overall vibe that Hilary Holmes Makeup has created is to be admired! Such a beautiful space to get your makeup done, by a really friendly, professional and helpful team - they are all great! I also went to one of Hilary's masterclasses and absolutely loved it; I've told several friends that they should go, too. I learnt so much, in a warm and inclusive environment. Also love the Back Your Beauty message that Hilary and her team promote. I'm a big fan!!

Hillary is the most personable professional you could hope to meet. This gal is very experienced and knows her stuff!! Her makeup space is divine and warming from the top of your head, through your soul and to the tips of your toes.. Her staff are clearly chosen for their craft and experience. And they make sure you leave the salon looking like the most spectacular version of yourself. Can’t recommend highly enough. Treat yourself because I certainly will again and again and again

Hilary and her team are wonderful! They did my hair and make up for my wedding and I couldn’t have been happier. They made getting ready so much fun and kept any nerves at bay. They are very professional, balancing what you want in your look, along with what they know will suit you. Highly recommend!

Hilary and her team are fantastic! Hilary and Annie recently did makeup and hair for myself and my bridal party for my wedding day. I couldnt have been happier with the end result both girls exceeded my expectation and made me feel amazing for my big day. The girls were also so friendly, fun and a calming influence, making my morning so much fun and such an exciting time. I could recommend Hilary Holmes make up highly enough.

What a space, what an experience, what a team! I did one of Hilary’s masterclasses and it was such a great experience, the girls were all super knowledgeable and so willing to help educate us. I walked away feeling way more confident about my makeup application at home and learnt so many good tips and tricks that have become part of my daily routine. The best part about the team is that they’re there to empower you, you’re not just walking in to get your makeup done. Can’t wait until they open a Melbourne salon!

Such a fantastic experience ! I needed hair and make up done for our maternity shoot. I had been double booked by another salon and was worried I wouldn't get in somewhere in time. Hilary was so lovely on the phone and booked me in with plenty of time to get back home. The salon was beautiful and I felt so pampered and beautiful by the time I left. Ani who done my hair was wonderful and done my hair perfectly and Lucy done a fantastic job on my face ! I can't thank them enough for making this pregnant mamma feel pretty. Would 10/10 recommend and will be returning ! X

Hilary really is the most wonderful and talented makeup artist. On my wedding day she was professional, efficient and very calming, at all times listening and helping me to feel like the best version of me! Can't recommend her highly enough!

I have trusted Hilary with doing my makeup for so many years, Hilary and her team always make me feel amazing and the salon experience is like nothing other. There was no one else I would have trusted with my wedding makeup, Hilary has always worked so hard to make sure I’m comfortable and feeling my best. There are so many places now where you can get your makeup done, but if you want specialised for you, expertise, relevant and a unique experience like no other, you can’t look past HHM.
