Cool vibe- pub style food with some great vegetarian dishes too. Staff were friendly, I don’t like ordering via the phone but they were nice enough to let me order the traditional way.

Smith Street Social is a beautiful venue with a lot of potential, but it seems like both the staff and kitchen don't cope under pressure. There was a function on upstairs so I maybe they put all their effort there to ensure the people upstairs had a great night. Unfortunately if they can't successfully run the core business at the same time as a function, they're better off just doing one or the other.We'd booked a table, but waited a long time to even speak to a staff member to find out where our table was. The staff seemed awkward, inexperienced, and reluctant to be there - I didn't see any one of them smile at us or any other customer. Our meals took 50 minutes to come out and at no point during that time did anyone communicate with us that the wait would be so long. The barra was decent, but the burger arrived cold and very dry.Basically: I wouldn't recommend. There's too many great pubs and restaurants and even food trucks in Darwin to spend 50 minutes and $26 for a cold dry burger from unsmiling staff.

I visited here when I was last in Darwin in 2017. The beer was good. My return visit in Mar 2023 was a let down. The place has become a dive. The staff unfriendly with no manners. The 150 Lashes had a bitter taint. Not from the hop. It should be sweet with a bitter hop aftertaste. Probably poor line management. The semi circular seat was filthy. Go somewhere else for beer, service and hygiene.

Food was awesome! We had burgers and pizzas - easy and delicious…especially for the price! Drinks were great, service great and atmosphere GREAT! Thanks for a great night

Walking distance to CBD, Waterfront and bus depot.... must try.I had the #Wagyu beef (half price on #thursday) and it is juicy, tender and flavoursome. On #Wednesday you can have the $18 for any pizza and beer (I recommend #Guinness and the #capricciosa). Great location .. pizza obviously kids friendly, party room for events, staff with a sense of #humour and #friendly, and cool background music... great for dates (I took mine there for 50% off beef) and meetings.. booths set (call to reserve if u want that)... don't forget #happyhourYou will find me there again.

Loved it! Very clean, modern, spacious and self service. You have the table number and an app on the corner of your table and you can place your order and pay in one go while sitting at your table. The drinks arrived quickly followed by the food. Just a great experience and good food.

Great place! We like to order from the scan code much simpler you can have a look over the menu and see how the dishes look like. We enjoy the cocrodile and the pizzas. Kids friendly and relax atmosphere to have a nice lunch or dinner :)

We ended up here after terrible customer service elsewhere and were not disappointed. We were served by the owner who explained the change in management and the reason for the small temporary menu. When I enquired about whether they could make any meal gluten and soy free due to allergies he spoke to the chef who came and spoke to us at the table. I had a steak with gravy, chips and salad! All of our Meals were delicious and we will happily return whilst we were here! Thank you for making an often challenging meal time so easy and accommodating. Greatly appreciated.
