Kids Up Front Drama Academy

My 11 year old daughter absolutely loves Kids Up Front! She has been going to their weekly classes and holiday camps for many years which has helped her to build confidence, improve her improvisation and acting skills, and make new friends. Recently she started the online zoom classes which have also been a HUGE hit! The Kids Up Front teachers are all very talented, friendly and encouraging, and the camps are always very well organised with amazing performances on the final day (eg. Aladdin, The Lion Queen, Dr Seuss on the Loose etc). My 5 year old son attended his first camp this year which he also absolutely loved so luckily we will be involved with Kids Up Front for many more years to come!

My child attended the camp at Pymble from the 11th to the 15th of July. I had a wonderful experience communicating with Sue, Kahlia and the rest of the team. Liz and Vinnie were super helpful too. My child was well looked after and learned A LOT in those 5 days.My child has never done drama and till this point not been interested either. I'd rate our experience as a 10/10 especially in terms of the happiness, interest and learning. He absolutely loved the camp and surprised us with the delivery of his lines and dancing on stage.We'd absolutely love to join the next camp.

My daughters both love Kids Up Front. It is a great holiday activity that keeps them active, where they meet new friends and get to have five days of fun. We've been regular Kids Up Front participants since 2017 and it is still the holiday favourite.

My daughter has been attending Kids Up Front for a year now (the highlight of her week) and has just done her first Holiday camp which she has declared, The best week ever!" I was extremely impressed with how well the team accommodated all age groups and brought together such a joyous production in a week. I would recommend Kids up Front and the holiday camps to all your budding thespians!"

My son has been at Kids Up Front for over 5 years, he has formed many close friendships and skills, his favourite hobby is the weekly classes. He also loves the holiday workshops and now the Zoom classes, the classes are well prepared with the weekly script and outfits. The annual show is fantastic and it's great to see so many kids happy. Well done to Kids Up Front Drama Academy and their amazing teachers!

I love Kids Up Front. Best holiday program around. My daughter really enjoyed the 'Create a play from scratch' online course. She has had great times at the face-2-face holiday programs but she thought in some ways the online course was even better! I am so impressed that Jenn managed to get all the kids working together and interacting online and produced a play in just 4 days! The tech seemed to work really well. It was so great for my daughter to have that interaction with other kids while we're all self-isolating at home. It gave her something to look forward to each day. And great idea of Jenn's to get the kids to do a crazy hair day and a wear your pj's day.

I highly recommend Kids Up Front. My two girls have attended 2 camps now at Epping and the team there are brilliant! The girls come home, loving the day and look forward to the next. At the end of the camp they said “Can we do it again next holidays?!” These camps are brilliant for child development and confidence. I’m so grateful this service is available.

My son Jasper attended the drama camp at Marrickville Public School last week. He was very nervous and shy about going. All the teachers were so wonderful. We are so amazed at how Jasper came out of his shell and truly enjoyed himself. He particularly bonded with Sinead and was disappointed not to be going to camp this week to see her.

Rating: 10/10Short Review: If you like Drama, Dance, or singing, I highly recommend either doing a class here or attending a school holiday camp. They care for the children, ensure everyone has a good time, and above all, have fun themselves!Long Review: I have been here for an extremely long time, I can not even remember my first camp anymore. I have made ever-lasting friends, and am now a JL (Junior Leader (Helper)), and am still enjoying every second of it. Not only do the leaders ensure everyone is having fun, they ensure everyone is having a nice time, and is being cared for. If you enjoy drama, singing, dance, or a combination of them, I very highly recommend going to either the drama classes, and/or the Holiday Camps. The KUF program is really entertaining, and I have not attended a single camp where I felt bored, excluded, or like I do not deserve to be there. Even if your child is not the best at acting, singing, or dancing, they will still enjoy hanging around other kids, and the leaders. I myself am not the best at dance, and still greatly enjoyed the camps, due to the people around me.Edited and Added from previous review (More specifically about the drama camps)I have now made multiple lifelong friends, including some of the other Junior leaders and Leaders.The Leaders and JLs here are well trained, and most of all, care about the students they have known forever, along with some of the new ones they do not know as well.Talking from experience here, if your kid has never attended here, they will have a blast. The JLs and Leaders attempt to make the camp as fun as possible, and if you are new and struggling talk to the supervisor of the camp (I specifically recommend Avalon's Camps (Epping north + Castle cove) to help you make some friends.If your child has issues with mental health or physical health or a combination, bring it up with the supervisor via either email or call and they will attempt to accommodate your child as best as possible. I am aware that we have had blind, and multiple other types of disabilities perform on stage from yellow (youngest group) all the way to blue/green. (oldest)If you go to a camp with Avalon “Avocado”, you are in for a blast. Av has not only made me feel at home, but made me, the entire staff team, and students feel safe and welcome. She is a great supervisor and I highly recommend her.I highly recommend both the drama camps and acting classes, especially if you are a theatre kid! The leaders and Junior leaders are kind and genuinely care about teaching you drama, without all the distractions that can occur at school.Overall: Go here if you like drama, singing, or dancing.

Avalon is the GOAT she has taught me since year 2 and she still very slay and slays even more in the holidays she makes pretty cool scripts, she is really good at dancing, and loves throwing shoes as an encouragement, the Jr leader slay the day. Even though at times it can be chaotic, I Love Kids Up Front.(You can rap this)
