I bought a bunch of party stuff for my daughters birthday party witch got cancelled due to weatherI tried to exchange the items that had not been opened or touch I had the receiptTo be told they do not offer exchange or refund quiet RudelyI would understand this if the product had been used or opened but being untouched in original packaging i didn’t think there would be an issueI was only after an exchange not a refund so the sale would have still gone through?Poor customer service

Not sure how I offended the older cashier wearing the mask, but she was extremely rude and unwelcoming from the 'Get go' My daughter's and I approached the register with a queen's guard hat from the costume section. instead of a pleasant smile or greeting her first words were these are not cheap" I immediately took offence and felt as though she was profiling

the employees are pathetic losers with no real future that feel the only way the can get some control of their miserable lives is to wrongly accuse an innocent child of theft and scream at her with no sense of rationality. once the store was contacted about the issue they had no sense of accountability and continued to pass the blame by saying it was the child’s fault and responsibility.and the individual that we contacted from the Erina store management is an absolute lowlife with no comprehension skills and clearly doesn’t know how to manage his store hence why his employees don’t know how to act accordingly.I can have compassion that theft is a serious and continuous problem for this specific store but targeting a teenage girl who is trying to communicate there was a genuine mistake is appalling and frankly embarrassing on the employees behalf.ironically while this specific employee was screaming and attempting to intimidate her, he happened to miss a whole group of teenagers who were actually stealing the merchandise.maybe if this employee didn’t focus so much attention on someone who wasn’t stealing anything, he would’ve been able to do his job properly and deal with the people who were genuinely doing something wrong and not cause financial loss for the company.

Was informed that it was a management policy that they don't accept refunds on costume items. They were 2 pairs of gloves still in their packaging only totalling about $5. There were no signs in the store stating this...I even would have been happy with store credit. But Nah. I won't be shopping there again.

This base warehouse was packed with plenty of house wares for decorating and very cheap PJs and robes for the whole family. A great party store with balloons and helium available for hire

BASE WAREHOUSEERINA FAIR NSWAn absolute disappointment. Spent $70 on two cushions. Did not suit my decor. Returned them with my Carer 3 days later only to be told a refund cannot be given on my $70. Have a problem they said phone Manager. They gave me number, no answer. One must reply online. Was advised I can exchange. Wandered for half an hour (was in spinal pain) found NOTHING TO SUIT. Advised by the Manager that owners can make their own policy on goods return. And as it is soft furnishing and in covid times their policy for refund MUST RETURN IN 2 DAYS. I explained I do not have a Carer at my disposal. They claimed policy was explained at time of purchase. POLICY WAS NOT EXPLAINED. THEN THEY POINTED TO NOTICE ON WALL. WHO CAN READ THAT FROM A SALE POSITION. I reiterated policy should be on footer of receipt for all customers.I was so angry, any pensioner knows how hard it is to save for something special.IN SO MUCH PAIN, I SAID TO THE YOUNG LADY. IF YOUR OWNER IS SO HARD UP THAT HE NEEDS TO RIP OFF PEOPLE AND NOT ABIDE BY THE CONSUMER LAWS YOU TELL HIM, HE CAN KEEP MY $70 BECAUSE I NEED TO GET HOME TO HAVE MEDICATION AND LAY DOWN.I LATER WROTE TO MANAGER VIA EMAIL.EMAIL RECEIVED BACK STATING SAME INFORMATION. NO AMENDS MADE TO FIX CUSTOMER EVEN THOUGH CUSHIONS RETURNED ON THIRD DAY IN SAME BAG WITH TAGS ON AND RECEIPT.CONSUMER FAIRS STATED THEY ARE INCORRECT IN APPLYING THOSE RULES. IT GOES AGAINST LEGISLATION. AT THE TIME WE HAD NO, YES NO COVID INCIDENTS IN NSW. THIS IS THE STORE AT ERINA FAIR SHOPPING CENTRE.I URGE EVERYONE TO CHECK ALL ITEMS THEY PURCHASE REGARDING RETURNS AND TIMES.I HAVE SPOKEN TO NSW CONSUMER AFFAIRS THIS IS INCORRECT. THEY HAVE MY ADDRESS, EMAIL, PHONE DETAILS AND NO ATTEMPT WAS MADE TO FOLLOW UP.Further to this a response was added to contact them about this matter. This was to make The Base look good. Still no contact regarding $70 worth of cushions that were not suitable. I now only shop at the Budget shop within Erina Fair.PS I was contacted by Base. A repeat of their no exchange in Covid 19 was just repeated. They did not give a damn about me or my disabled situation.I advise anyone shopping don't shop at BASE ERINA.

If you require assistance while shopping don't go here twice now at this shop I needed assistance and both times I asked the young person behind the counter for help because I couldn't find anyone else for help and twice on different days they couldn't even be bothered to go out of their way to help me. This has turned me off I definitely will not be returning to this store in the future.

I am not one to make complaints unless absolutely necessary. Today I was given the worst customer service by the staff in the Erina Base warehouse.I was trying to order helium balloons for my daughters and was frustrated as the layout of the store has the balloon section set up far away from the check out desk and had no staff member attending to that area, which meant I was back and fourth looking for someone to assist me.Feeling frustrated I walked back to the check out area and spoke with the manager. I explained the situation and the difficultly of walking back and forward with 3 little children and to be waiting with no response. He very rudely told me it’s not his problem I had my children with me and offered me a refund. I asked to speak to someone else as he was arrogant towards me and pointing his finger while stating he was helping me by processing a refund. When I asked how to complain he told me to go on line and do it but refused to give me his name stating it’s confidential. I felt so embarrassed as he did this in front of many other customers and my young children. I spent almost 40 minutes in the store and left with nothing but a negative vibes and sad little girls that did not get their balloons :(

Just reading through some one the reviews about customer service. I have always found The Base Warehouse staff to be very helpful. The young kids there are all friendly & do their best to help when asked. They have their returns policy clearly displayed and their prices are amazing. I have seen some of their homewares sold elsewhere for up to 3 times the price. Keep up the great work!!
