I don’t usually write reviews, and definitely understand that there’s a lot of pressure on hospitality staff at the moment, but I’ve received one completely burnt order from this restaurant and one completely wrong order in the last week. On top of that, my housemate received a wrong order from this restaurant today. Love Grill’d but clearly this restaurant isn’t set up to handle peak service volumes accurately at the moment.

Don’t waste your money$23 for a basic burger , small sweet potatoes fries and soft drinkThe burger was a joke, one meat patty which didn’t even hit the sides of the bun , one piece of lettuce , one piece of tomatoe, some onions that’s it ( I’ve bought this one before and is usually full of the above)I complained to waiter and all he did was say … oh sorry !!The sweet potatoe fries are no longer served in the black basket but a SMALL paper cup .. which is half the size as it used to be ….A absolutely bloody rip off !!

Update: I really do like their burgers. But a business is more than their product, it’s their culture and the way they treat people.I have am sitting in my car at 10:10pm after waiting 40min for my child to finish work. They often go overtime. They didn’t give leniency for exam periods and don’t allow holidays. For $12 an hour on casual, surely their is some respect for the fact they are so young. It’s a school night after all.So even though I like their food, I can’t support a business that treats our children so poorly. Unfortunately, you have lost a loyal customer.Always reliable burgers and so easy for the kids. I like that I can grab a beer and feels almost healthy! HahaEven better, they employed my son. But he is yet to make me a burger at home so room for improvement in the training ;)

The best thing about Grill’d has always been the chips. However, Fairfield Grill’d are consistently undercooking their chips and serving them under-seasoned. This has happened the last few times we’ve been and we now won’t go back because clearly they have changed the cooking time. I know you’re busy but if you don’t cook the chips for longer you’ll lose more customers.

The acclaimed famous Grill'd chips doesn't look too well here. The chips I was served today was not fresh as it was barely lukewarm and it was stale. The seasoning will evenly distribute and stick to the chips when it's freshly out of the fryer, but not in this case as most of the seasoning was on the bottom leaving the chips under seasoned. The one star also accounts for past orders where the beef patty was burnt and overcooked. This level of service is a reflection of the franchisee/management prioritising making a sale over focusing on serving food that will make customers want to come back again. Their google review precedes them, and the Melbourne Central location seems to take more pride in their service.

This would be a one star review but I give an extra star for the staff working on New Year’s Day.Waited half an hour for a chicken salad hoping for some crisp fresh lettuce, but it was soggy brown and old. Chicken was cold, dry and inedible. The chips tasted like they’ve been sitting on the counter for 29 minutes. Spent $50 on food I can’t even eat. I tried to call six times to complain before leaving a review but no one answers, so no need to respond to this review to make it up to me. I won’t come back.Rotting lettuce

I usually like Grilld, but this was not a good experience.> Our order was forgotten (I had to go and ask for it, and they did not even apologize and avoided eye contact).> Food was cold (as it was just left on a bench for a long time).> Had strange burned object in my burger (I thought it was onion, but it wasn't).

Servive was very quick, young staff were very friendly. A beef burger with daijon mustard was juicy, tasty and good quality. Location is great but parking can be nightmare, you'll have to have good timing or be paient to get a spot. It looks like new bike lane has built so need to watch out bike riders too.
