Chips looked white and were undercooked. Grilled fish wasn’t separated from the chips, the outer layer all stuck to the chips. Fish didn’t taste fresh but frozen. Really disappointed.

Tartare sauce: sweet to the point where it’s more appropriate atop ice cream than with chips. Chips: undercooked, with old oil. Steak sandwich, ZERO salt on the steak, zero seasoning whatsoever. Oof.

Reckon the reviews here are well wrong. We got our food promptly, price was alright and everything was cooked well and fresh. Crispy chips and the king george whiting was good grilled or fried.

The chips were below average and undercooked but also overcooked are the same time, they felt frozen on the inside but the outside was almost burnt. The corn jack was nice tho.

The fish and scallop are fresh, crispy and big portion. The staff was really friendly and lovely that he help bringing the food to our car when it was rainy outside even we didnt ask for. Best fish and chips shop in the area.

Change of owners?Flake didn't taste like flake, chips and potato cakes average at best. Have tried twice now no luck the second time. Used to be a amazing fish and chip shop. Won't be returning

Used to be one of the best fish and chips around but unfortunately they have lost it somewhere along the way.Flake was ok if that's what it actually was but the potato cakes should be renamed Batter cakes" because that's about all you can taste and were tiny as well. About 10mm thick but the actual potato was seriously only2mm thick so do the math. Batter cakes!!!Scallops were very bland in flavour and not worth buying in my opinionThe potato cakes used to be big with a thin crispy batter and astoundingly delicious and the Scallops used to be delicious also but I'd say they're imported nowadays hence the lack of good flavourFlake used to be real tasty flake but it doesn't taste like flake now more like another species of fishThe service was very nice but I didn't go there for that

Worst fish and chips I've had. Potato cakes tastes like deep fried clag sticks. The pineapple fritters were unseasoned deepfried warm batter, the chips were a nuclear yellow colour and tastes raw inside. The portions were abysmal.Oh, the service was passive aggressive and blunt.I would recommend going elsewhere.Rip.

Ok so very hot day, very busy. Chips were undercooked and soggy. Potato cakes marginally bigger than a dim sim. Small flake at $9 and a large serving of chips $13. Will never go back. Stick with Hastings fish and chips!!
