On the Deck @ Shark Bay

We stayed in the upstairs blue room for a couple of nights. This was definitely the classiest B&B stay we ever experienced. There is a hot spa on the top deck overlooking the ocean and national park, a fully equipped outdoor kitchen for cooking your breakfast and dinner, a shower cubicle with massage jets and memory foam mattresses and pillows!! Hosts Phil and Kerrie moved to Denham from one of the big cities and know a thing or two (or three) about upmarket lifestyle and paying attention to details. They will make sure your stay with them will be as enjoyable and informative as possible

The best place to stay in Shark Bay. Phil and Kerrie were extremely helpful and we also enjoyed the chat with them. The amazing breakfast supply and the exceptionally good cooking facilities made our stay very enjoyable. Watching the sunset on the deck or in the hot spa made it even better. Oh, the daily visit of kangaroos and emus are just so good!

We stayed at Kerrie's and Phil's place for 6 nights and have been quite lucky to get the blue room on the first floor with a veranda a nice view on the Peron National Park. The rooms are clean and very functional, i.e. everything that is necessary is available (A/C, kitchenette, WIFI, document box, USB chargers, breakfast, etc.). In the afternoons, when the wildlife from the park (incl. emus and different types of kangaroos) come out of for a drink at the water source that is installed at the B&B, the guest are invited to take a look and feed the animals with carrots which the owners provide. Both are very kind and lovely people who are always up for a chat and to provide guidance what to do when in Shark Bay. Also it is great to see that sustainability has been considered when the place was designed. There is a PV system installed on the roof and there even is a worm farm for certain types of kitchen waste. We recommend a stay in this accomodation more than other places in Denham and will definitely book it again when we happen to be back to Shark Bay.

Had a great stay at Phil and Kerrie’s On the Deck B&B. Very friendly and helpful folks, very efficiently run with nice bed, facilities and showers. Breakfast is provided. Every night the Euros come in to drink and are very quiet. The hosts are very knowledgeable and helpful about the local sights and activities. When I lost my credit card holder Phil gave great advice and was very helpful, resulting in the cards being found by a local girl at the beach.Very highly recommended!

What a great place and lovely hosts!We have stayed 3 nights at On The Deck and truly enjoyed our time in Shark Bay.The evening parade of kangaroos and emus added to a wonderful memory.

Phil and Kerrie have created a lovely spot in the magical Shark Bay. Well equipped, beautifully designed, modern and comfortable accommodation with spa and barbecue area.Upon arrival an emu was sitting at the front of the building, later kangaroos arrived.Highly recommended for short or even a week long stay.

Phil & Kerrie and wonderful hosts and made me feel very welcome. I appreciated their attention to detail in providing quality amenities, rooms are spacious, restful and clean, great shower and the bed was so comfortable. I stayed in the blue room for 4 nights and would love to go back. The amazing sunsets and night sky, enjoying a champagne in the spa and feeding the kangaroos helped make my stay relaxing. Being able to drive the loan car was perfect and allowed me see some of the stunning natural environment. Many thanks Jen

What an amazing place to stay in Denham! Everything was great.....the nicely decorated room with good bed and shower, the view in general, the hottub with sea- and sunset-view, the kangaroos and emoes every day at your doorstep, the outdoor-kitchen en living-space, and good breakfast which you can prepare at your own time. And last but certainly not least....Phil and Kerrie are very friendly and helpfull, and they take good care of their guests. A-must-stay-place!

Phil and Kerrie have created the perfect accommodation for visitors to the beautiful Shark Bay World Heritage Area. The house is perfectly built and positioned, the rooms and facilities are immaculate, sunset from the spa is an unmissable experience but most of all, it is the warm and genuine welcome from the hosts that really makes the stay. From the moment of booking onwards, Phil and Kerrie were warm, friendly and helpful. Our two nights in Shark Bay were perhaps the highlight of our WA trip and On the Deck is so good it puts many much pricier options further up into the NW to shame. Keep up the good work and thanks for your hospitality.

Just a magic place to stay in a magical part of Australia. Phil and Kerrie are both friendly and hospitable hosts: the rooms are beautifully designed to catch the views and breezes and are very clean and comfortable, The common deck area is a highlight with great self catering/cooking and dishwashing facilities. The property abuts a nature reserve, guaranteeing wildlife visits late afternoon and evening. All in all our stay could not have been better. Thank you Phil and Kerrie.
