Been looking after my R60/2 since I bought it and sorting out the last few tweaks to get it sorted.

I bought my R60/2 in1975, during my first year at University, so by 2022 it needed a bit of a birthday. Since I had been communicating with BMWerks for over a year about all things BMW, I decided to send it to them for a 'little restoration'.Throughout this process we discussed and refined my requirements. In the end I decided on the lot: new paint, new pinstriping, new seat, new wiring, new switchgear, wheel rims re-chromed and re-spoked, new tyres, new springs & shocks and the front end, the engine & gearbox overhauled, as well as anything else that needed replacing.The bike I received back is the nearest thing to a new R60/2. Thank you very much, Martin, for fixing my BMW R51/3. The major problem was a short circuit, the front light not working properly and blowing up the fuse whenever turning the light switched on. Martin helped to rewire and fix the problem, and now everything works fantastic!He also tuned up my bike and synchronised the carburettors, which were off-sync for a long time. After the tune, I could feel the difference. The bike runs and responds much better than before.I highly recommend Martin to anyone who wants to restore their vintage BMW bike.
