Lickety Split
Booked Back Alley Sally’s online only for it to be closed upon arrival, decided to go to Lickety Split instead as that’s where my booking was moved.Ordered/paid food and drinks, waited over an hour for food so asked staff at the bar if it would be much longer and was told the kitchen was closed.Staff advised the kitchen would “get started on it now” but as it was past 9PM I opted for a refund instead. Neither staff member apologised once, the same person that took my order organised my refund and was unable to find my transaction in their POS machine.I told him the last 4 digits of my card and the total, his response was “yeah but it’s not $76.98 because you got your drinks, we’re only refunding the food”. I didn’t expect a full refund but his tone and attitude could really be improved.Last of all he ended up refunding the wrong transaction, so some other patron, who I assume actually received what they paid for, has now received a full refund and I am out $76.98 with nothing to show. Thankfully I asked for a receipt for the refund which shows it’s for a different amount and different card number.Emailed management with no reply after multiple days.Extremely disappointing as I used to frequent Lickety Split and Back Alley Sally’s prior to lockdowns, will never be back again and would give 0 stars if possible. Would advise anyone else to try any of the other, superior bars in the heart of Footscray instead.

This place has really nice vibes and is great to hang out with friends for drinks. Also friendly service and waiters!However, not ideal if you’re after a nice meal. I was quite disappointed with the food. Tacos are well below average - cold (my fish taco was so fried I could only taste batter and think the fish disappeared). The veggie burrito was 95% rice.. I had a couple black beans and a bite of tomato maybe (refer to pic). Nachos were okay. Overall it is overpriced for the value. I don’t usually like to leave bad reviews but I felt it might help for improvement as the place has a nice environment (pet friendly and good for groups).Service & environment ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Food ⭐️⭐️

Nice little boutique bar, great place for friends to catch up, have some drinks, a bite to eat and listen to some good music playing with the DJ Relaxitive.

Chilled out bar in a shipping container on a back lane in Footscray without a hipster in sight. Range of beers and wines and some great cocktails. The food van gets rented out to different operators at different times, and is currently the vegan van" serving wicked nachos and vege burgers."

Such a cool bar with a laid back vibe and plenty of seatings indoor and outdoor. By default they have smashed patty burgers but when we came around they had a Collab pop up with some fried chicken joints. The burgers are one of the best we had in Melbourne! It was juicy, simple yet hit all the right notes. The portion is a little small so it is perfect as a snack.Food - 10Service - 7Vibe - 9Price - $

Awesome vibes and cool set up. Heaps of seating undercover. Great bar menu and LOVED the burger pop up they had when we went. Cheatmeal Milkbar = amazing burgers!!!! Keen to return!

My family were at Lickety Split for lunch on Sunday 30 April. The bar tender was great even though he was the only one there. We ordered our food around 1pm. The pizzas and burger didn’t arrive until 2:30pm. And we continued to wait for the rest of the order. The other burger arrived at 2:45pm. Finally, the chips arrived at 3:00pm. All this with constant follow ups with staff at the bar. Pretty poor given we had young kids with us.Absolutely terrible service from such an establishment! Management should rethink staff resourcing and planning.We won’t be back!

Great music, fantastic food, great choice of beer all in a relaxing environment.Right in the middle of all the world outside, it’s great to come in here and see the nice staff and leave all the world outside.The latest hit place to go in Footscray and I’d dare say, people from Kensington, Yarraville and even further will make their way over.This place feels Like Melbourne, and I love it.

Nice place to drink, great vibe, but the food was underwhelming. Pizza was both burnt and undercooked whilst the meat felt like it was wrung out of flavour and dripping in oil.Point in favor, it is a dog friendly place.The loaded fries were ok. They felt salty to us. I guess we are just not used to comfort food.
