Playhouse Apartments

Good view of the river and city. Clean, good service. Need to pay extra for parking on site. Good value if via Groupon or special. Apartments are new, appears to have been built in 2015-2016.

Really nice place!! Stayed here for 3 1/2 days and i was very satisfied. Amazingly comfy mattresses, great ambience and decor, and most importantly, fairly close to markets and transport! Only 20 mins or so to the melbourne CBD by tram and even less by car. Super satisfied, very good value for the price!

Went there to see a friend from interstate and the place was packed and it was not long after 6. People arriving others leaving. These apartments are in Abbotsford the Terminus hotel at the corner you turn down that road and you find yourself in a little enclave of apartments and dead end streets. And amongst those apartment blocks is the Playhouse Apartments. They have a drive in and drive out and on either side of the entrance is the Enter/ Exit for their parking lots. There reception area is spacious with plenty of siting to wait for someone or kill time until everyone has left the reception and you go and do whatever you want in your own time. Four elevators to take you to your room which they are spread over 10 floors. I headed to the 9th floor and walked into this nice but very compact apartment. I suspect that for 2 people who will spend most of their time visiting and playing let's go and see if any of haunts are still going the room nothing more than a pitstop to gather your thoughts refresh and hit the streets. It has 2 bedrooms a bathroom/ toilet, a small kitchen. The lounge is a nice open space and then then there is this great balcony were the view might not be the best but the taste of the cigarette that you don't have to go down 9 floors to have one rocks. I like to think their prices are not bad but forgot to ask them what they paid. Conclusion i would not hesitate to book a room there it's location is great the quality of the room is better than a lot of other places there isn't anything to fault it . And this is only by staying there for a couple of hrs. To anyone thinking about it find the price and go from there

Nice and clean property for visiting Melbourne with Family.It is not in free Tram zone but easily can reach there. Just a construction site in near make to noise if your room facing that side!

Very nice and clean 3 bedroom apartment. Suitable for family of 5 (3 children 4, 6, 8 years). Single bed and 2 queen beds. Easy to use space. Kitchenette includes oven and nespresso machine (with some pods. Byo extras). Little laundry behind doors - washer and dryer- was very handy for kids washing and bathers. Pool is nicely heated indoors but need to walk through carpark to get there. Very good value to stay through groupon and prebooked car parking. Less than $1000 for 5 night stay. Really reasonable for a family of 5 to pay. Location is near enough to city for us. Trams nearby but can use car easily.

Stayed here AFL grand final weekend couldn't fault anything.It was exceptional!Very quiet,spotlessly clean and everything we needed was within walking distance The reception staff were amazing thankyou to one in particular (Vivienne?) that went above and beyond helping us carry luggage to our apartment Thank you!

Nice rooms with plenty of facilities. The building is very confusing to navigate and especially the car park. We had a wedding party stay in several rooms on several floors and it was hard to get to the other rooms without the right passes. The groom got stuck in the fire escape and we nearly had our own ‘Hangover’ scenario... Very minimal reception area and only offered 1 key for four adults staying in one room. A second key was only supplied when asked.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Rooms were clean, sunny, modern and very comfortable. And so quiet! Secure onsite parking. Good shops nearby, including a big IGA supermarket and coffee options. Would recommend these appartments without hesitation. Only issue was difficulty was locating the entrance - very discrete driveway on the left halfway down street, and need to park temporarily in tow-away zone at entrance to check in.

This is a great venue - it's spacious, central and clean. The only letdown for me was noise, specifically noise that woke me up around 5:30am on both weekdays I was there. There seems to be some small industries nearby, or it could have been the Ikea warehouse, but there was loud and intermittent noise both mornings. For reference, I was at the far northern end of the building, which I had assumed would be the quietest as it was furthest from the main road. Other than that, I would rate the Playhouse very highly.

Good price, reception staff are friendly and there are good amenities in the rooms. Tram stops are very close. Cleanliness is average. When there is any noise/party/domestic after hours you can't do anything about it as there is no reception or after hours contact. If you stay a week you will experience this at least once.
