Thank you Access Community Services for your support of SBH Queensland and the 2018 SSKB Wheel & Walk Fun Run - Queensland’s most inclusive fun run. Your involvement has supported children and adults with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, the most frequently occurring, permanently disabling birth defect.Access Community Services were amazing supporters of our event. Your staff are dedicated, hardworking and very supportive. Thank you for your dedication to enhancing the community, disability employment services and supporting people in need.

An organisation that is very resistant to change, despite change being desperately needed. Staff receive no internal or external training at any stage through their employment. Ground level staff and middle management receive no support from upper management. Communication between the internal teams is non existent and management doesn’t move to create a more unified organisation. Lots of issues within the organisation, massive staff turnover happens approximately every six months. Clients are very dependent on the organisation to do most things for them in regards to engaging in the community. Clients don’t feel confident to do simple tasks like depositing money at a bank branch, even after many months of being in the country. Organisation doesn’t like to refer clients outside of the organisation as it means losing funding.

Thank you ACCESS Community Services for facilitating my Work Placement hours when i was having a hard time finding anywhere that would take on a lowly TAFE Student... Every mental health workplace i approached prior to ACCESS Community Services wanted University Degree Students only... I was not prepared for that type of rejection as a mature and motivated student and then i found ACCESS Community Services. I recommend their friendly and supportive work place for Volunteers and Students.

I have been a client with ACS Browns Plains now for a few months and I have to say in all honesty, I just cannot believe how caring and helpful the staff are. I have found my phone conversations extremely empathetic and not once have I ever felt any hindrance with wanting to be helpful, in fact I have found my Case officer Stephanie so eager to help me with employment and carer suggestions, fixing up my Resume providing me with a cover letter template to other needed and appreciated assistance.Access Community Services would be in my view, the best Employment community services centre that I have ever dealt with over 20 years. As we are living in difficult times at present with Covid-19 I would have thought my level of help and assistance would have dropped because of social distancing and not being able to meet in person, I was wrong, in fact, my help has been not only better but very understanding.I am so thankful that my case officer is very knowledgeable and skillful with being able to offer and give me all of the assistance I have thus far, thank you so much, you are a credit to ACS and I just don't understand why help like this in the past has never been offered.Thank you again Access Community Service, Browns Plains :)

Matt from the Varsity Lakes office has been really pushy with making me go in for a face to face appointment during the pandemic & I feel that my mental & physical health has gotten worse since interacting with him. It's absolutely wrong to be so pushy to people with disabilities during a pandemic. Unacceptable.
