Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre
I throughly enjoyed the dovetail document box course that i found at the Forest Discovery Centre. The lecturer was great and my final box turned up really well.

Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre
Look we weren't expecting that much.. the place looked run down. We went up to toolangi to walk the sculpture trail and we didnt find anything in the discovery centre that assisted us..with information for my kids in particular...

Stunning architecture by Peter Parks. Now run by local community volunteers. Open on weekends. Sculpture walk anytime.

This looks like it could have been a great facility. Unfortunately it now seems to be closed indefinitely. Still some sculptures to see from the old art trail. Such potential, but perhaps not enough visitors to make it a viable venture.

Old edifice to commercial forestry now repurposed as book shop and Ecology Cafe. Slowly falling apart from wood decay. Real informative centre is now Gould League, across the access road.

Hidden treasure amongst the tall trees of Toolangi State Forest. So glad this place re-opened. Warm cosy cafe and gorgeous staff make this unique building all the more compelling to visit.

A truly great place. A very good interpretive center for natural art, forestry and a nice cafe.The sculptural walk is not to be missed either.

Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre
Visited the Sculpture Park at Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre 2/9/18. The centre is closed. The toilets located in the Centre are inaccessable. The Sculpture Walk was enjoyable, I have done it before but the cafe and centre appeared to be closed down.

Toolangi Forest Discovery Centre
Disappointed that the Forest Discovery Centre was closed last week. The building is stunning and it would be great to see inside, although it looks a bit sad and neglected. Also, the signage is poor as are the outside displays. But the Sculpture Trail was a nice walk and the sculptures were great. Unfortunately some sculptures and all signage were showing their age. It's a real pity that this iconic building/Centre hasn't got the support from Govt agencies or the Forest Industry needed.

If you are venturing into Toolangi State Forest you MUST stop in at the Ecology Cafe in the TFDC! Not just to admire the incredible arcitecture of the Discovery Centre itself, but to enjoy a deliciously fresh meal or coffee, made from locally roasted organic beans.
