We love the stone benchtop that we ordered through quantum, but were disappointed with the installation through VPKay!When I arrived home after the install there were dark stains all over the bench top, which are especially obvious under the lights at night, particularly dark areas around all of the joins that had not been cleaned up.There were smear marks in at least 5 places where someone had wiped their hand/ rag while it had glue/ something on it, and there was a full ring mark in the pantry where a pot of something had been set down. There was also a hand print where someone had rested their dirty hand on the bench while covered in grime! This was a very poor impression for a brand new benchtop!!!We reported the issues to VPKay and they told us someone would come out and look at it. Then we heard nothing from them for a week!Then we got a phone call saying someone would come today, with no warning, and no appointment being made! We said it wasn't a good time but they ignored us.The splashback was being fitted that day and the whole benchtop was covered with dust sheets, tiles, grout etc and the tiler was in full swing so we said it wasn't a good time, but they said the person was already on his way and he arrived shortly after!! We called back to say it wasn't a good time and could we reschedule, but they refused!!!!! So our tiler had to stop in the middle of his work, clear all his stuff up and take a break!!! This was very unprofessional and inconsiderate of VPKay!!We are very unhappy that the install wasn't done properly to start with, and their communication was terrible. We should never have had to ask for someone to come back to fix a brand new bench top, and for them not to ask us when would be a convenient time is just rude!
