My brother has been going to Dan for years and he introduced me to him when my usual hairstylist sold her business. I am forever grateful for that introduction. These guys do hair on a whole new level, Dan and Paye are the only people I trust to do whatever they want/whatever they think is best for my hair. You’re not just paying for skills, you’re paying people with innate talent to do your hair.

I recently visited Tao of Hair in Perth for a men's haircut, and I have to say, it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. Daniel, the main hairdresser understood exactly what I was looking for.Daniel's expertise and attention to detail were truly impressive. He took the time to listen to my preferences and offered his professional advice to enhance my haircut. Originally I had bright red hair with orange ends. Got the perfect shade of purple all over the head with amazing service. This place made me feel safe and welcomed the entire time I was there.

I was super happy with this place but unfortunately this time my hair was done with another lady who ruined my hair. I was after toning my blonde no. 8 but she dye my hair with darker color which the salon manager had to bleach it and dye it again to revert it to the original blonde 8 and it took 5 hours. Because I had foil couple of month ago the bleaching changed my dark natural hair to orangish brown with mix of blond so when my routes grows I have to dye it to orangish brown to match it to my hair stem. The manager did her best to fix my hair but it was to late. I was charged 230 $ and left the salon very angry. if you want to try this place make sure you consult with manager to have your color and do not trust the others.

Sorry but I have to give a negative review.I feel like my hair was totally ruined.In the picture you can clearly see the colour separation in my hair right after I walked out the salon. I asked to the hair dresser to dye my hair dark close to my original hair colour, as I had brassy balayage and I just want all my hair to be the same colour, she suggested me to have a deeper root and lighter colour at the bottom because if I want my hair bleached again there’s less damage, I told her I wouldn’t want to bleach my hair again in a year time. I also told her as long as it blends in nicely I’m fine with that. The hair colour looked ok in the salon, but when I walked into Myer I found out there’s still an obvious colour separation.The other picture showed how the hair dresser ruined my fringe, the picture was taken right after I dried and combed my hair. You can see there’s a huge gap in the fringe between the brows. I showed the hair dresser Dakota Johnson’s fringe, which was what I wanted, and it turned out to be far from what I asked for. I don’t know why she put layers in fringe, which I did not ask for. I also told her the length is a bit too short, she said I thought you want more chopping. I mean like please double check with everything you cut especially with the fringe there’s not much hair and also it’s the front, it really affects your overall look significantly.I am just so disappointed with everything. I don’t know how long I’ll need to wait to get my hair to look presentable again.

Heading in, I was definitely nervous as I was having my first perm. However the whole experience definitely put me at ease.Throughout the consultation I had Jill and it was fantastic working with her. She was very attentive and overall did an amazing job. She has definitely left off a great impression and will gladly be coming back in the near future.

the service was amazing! i got my hair washed and received the best scalp massage, and then i got my hair cut and styled into a wolf cut. they left my hair feeling super healthy, shiny and clean. the staff are super friendly and really considerate, i had great communication with all the staff i talked to. really great service and place to go. would love to get my hair permed here as well.

First time visit in September was with Judy, who was great.This review is on my hair colour done by a different person on 29/11/22. Service was generally good and the colour is nice (though some bits didn’t seem to get as much colour and still look blonde - see photo). Not a major issue.What wasn’t great was the fact I was charged $60 more than what was quoted for colouring, even though I was quoted few days ago and also double checked it with them before we started.Turns out I was quoted normal colour not “vivid” colour, even though this difference was not explained initially. The colour conditioner was also quoted cheaper than what was charged ($40 instead of $50). I was billed by another person in the end, total being $70 more.If there’s an internal misunderstanding on pricing and this is misrepresented to the customer it should be remedied by the business, not borne by the customer.Generally seems a nice salon and I appreciate the service, but this kind of miscommunication could be easily avoided.UPDATE 6/12/22:Rating changed from 2 to 4 stars, as Tao is willing to address customer concerns.Greatly appreciate having the issue sorted promptly and with care by Paye.
