Moon River Retreat

We stayed with Mon for five glorious nights. She went above and beyond to look after us, and her property is impeccable, clean, and beautifully furnished and laid out. The views are incredible and we look forward to coming back.

What a lovely, peaceful place!! The view across Cygnet bay towards Adamson 's Peak is glorious, and seeing the southern aurora is a special treat! The patron provided home-made preserves and condiments to augment the sense of homely comfort. Excellent!

Beautiful location with exceptionally nice owner

This is a truly fabulous place to stay, a perfect base to visitors to the Huon Valley, D'Entrecasteaux Channel and/or Bruny Island. A stone's throw from Cygnet, guests will wake to beautiful views overlooking Kangaroo Bay and after a full day of sightseeing and sampling the incredible local produce, can relax on the deck to enjoy the sunset.Mon has thought of practically everything to ensure her guests are comfortable, with virtually any household appliance one can think of made available. The cupboards are thoroughly stocked and the welcome basket was very much appreciated. Looking forward to our next visit.Note: Mon also happens to be a wonderful poet!
