Chrissy Ratcliffe Civil Marriage Celebrant

Meeting Chrissy briefly over 5 years ago, I knew if I got married one day she was who I wanted to marry me. The day came to planning my wedding and I searched high and low for Chrissy, only to find out she had moved interstate. I decided to reach out anyway. Within 24 hrs I had a phone call from her and from the first 10 seconds of our call, I knew I had made the right choice.Most people getting married do not have a clue where to start and for us it was all done virtually (pre covid). Chrissy was professional, paitent and overall amazing at getting to know me and my fiance and guiding us to what we needed to do. All our meetings were virtual and yet everytime we spoke or I had a question she would always be there to put me at ease.Unfortunately due to us being interstate the chances of us being able to have Chrissy marry us reduced. Throughout all of this however Chrissy continued to be incredible. Chrissy provided us with amazing options and recommendations. Chrissy continued to worked with us to finish our wedding cermony, which was important to us as we can still feel like she is a part of it. She liasied with our new celebrant to ensure the transition for us was as stress free as possible.Having Chrissy as our celebrant during the year of rona' was a blessing. I could not recommend her high enough and can say without a doubt I would not heistate to use her services in the future for a vow renewal or recommend her to anyone planning a wedding.

Chrissy is one of a kind! She was there to help us every step of the way to make our ceremony special and unique.Thank you for being such a pleasure to have at our wedding. Couldnt have asked for a better person to make our ceremony so very special! All our family and guests couldn't stop raving about how wonderful you were! Late in 2020 we had decided to seal our love and get married. A friend told us about Chrissy and how wonderful she was, so we made contact with her and we were pleasantly surprised with her zest for life and commitment to her service. Since our wedding in February, we still have family and friends commenting on how wonderful Chrissy was and how everyone felt involved in the service. We are soo happy that we had chosen Chrissy for our service as she made our day with her words and the care that she had shown us from our first contact up until today.Chrissy is, for us the best celebrant (we are of course biased lol) we have we have seen. Thank you soo much for making our day and being you Chrissy, you really are a most wonderful person. You are the most beautiful person, both on the inside and out.

Many people would think trying to plan a wedding on the other side of the world a near impossible task, but with Chrissy on side we couldn't go wrong.We were paired with Chrissy through the wedding coodinator at Thala Beach Lodge, Port Douglas and with the wonders of Skype we were able to meet Chrissy from all the way in Shetland, Scotland. We clicked with Chrissy straight away, her bubbly personality and genuine kindness shone through. I remember on that first call Chrissy saying to us 'You'll be sick of me by the time the wedding comes!' but Chrissy we loved speaking with you, you made us feel so at ease with our decision, respected all our wishes and created the perfect ceremony for us, it was a complete joy!Chrissy provided us will every detail that we needed to create our ceremony and all legalitys that we needed to preform here at home before coming out and what would need to be done when we got home, and was always just an email away for any random questions that came up.By the time we met Chrissy a couple of days before our wedding it was like meeting up with an old friend, and made our ceremony a more beautiful and amazing experience than I could ever imagine (with a good few giggles along the way).Chrissy, we are eternally thankful to you for, not only, being our Celebrant, but an amazing friend and guide into our first steps of marriage.Jared and Amy Deeney :Dxxx

Chrissy was the most professional and personable marriage celebrant. I would recommend her to all of my own friends, family or anyone considering a celebrant. Even though my HUSBAND and I were both away with work she kept in contact and on top of everything throughout the entire process. She is open to any ideas or wishes for the ceremony and even gave some ideas to consider to make it a little more personal and special. Even though covid was a mess of a year, Chrissy made our wedding really special. We were meant to get married in queensland, but due to covid had to reschedule multiple times and Chrissy was there every step of the way, adapting our ceremony and keeping us upbeat.The ceremony was so memorable and reflected exactly what we wanted...low key and personal. Chrissy went above and beyond, with her and her husband even helping with setting up as rain resulted in a change of location. Chrissy was very professional and really helped us to relax on our special day. Chrissy is such an effervescent and positive person and we needed those vibes to help us overcome the nerves! We had an elopement marriage on the beach, and as we were travelling from afar there were all sorts of practical issues to be taken care of. Not only did Chrissy manage to sort us through that, she also had some magical intuition of how to tailor our marriage just for us. It felt personal and yet professional, we really got the feeling that Chrissy wanted to make it perfect just for us. We are absolutely more than happy we chose Chrissy and can highly recommend her to you people out there wanting to get married!!

Both Liam and I have always believed that things happen for a reason.Several weeks out from our planned wedding we found ourselves in the unfortunate situation of having to cancel our booked celebrant. Following several frantic calls, I received a strong recommendation to contact Chrissy. I knew as soon as I had that initial contact with her that our search for a celebrant was over, and thankfully despite the extremely short time frame and the fact that she had another wedding on that day Chrissy was able to book us in and at our preferred time.In the short lead up to our wedding day Chrissy took the time to get to know us and understand what we wanted for our service. In addition, she managed the difficult situation of our changing celebrants quite simply and with no stress, handling the situation with complete confidence and professionalism.Our ceremony was beautiful and so much more than we had imagined. Chrissy was warm, inviting, funny and understanding. She read our service beautifully and with real meaning bringing it to life whilst ensuring a relaxed and calm atmosphere for all to enjoy.In closing, Wow! we have been absolutely blown away by the fantastic care, thoughtfulness and support that we received from Chrissy. From our first meeting she made us feel like a close friend taking interest in not just us, but also our small group of family and friends that were to be present on the day.Thanks Chrissy for saving the day, without you it just would not have been the same!Hopefully you will still be available when we renew our vows at some stage in the future.We can’t recommend Chrissy more highly – 10/10 from both of us.

Chrissy performed my husband and my marriage ceremony and we could not have asked for a better experience. In the whole lead up Chrissy was so organised and on the front foot in giving us all the information we needed and having everything done for us well ahead of time. She helped us write our vows and put our ceremony together and on the day she was fantastic, so relaxed and made us feel so comfortable. Thank you Chrissy!
