Inedible, overpriced food and terrible customer service. 12 pieces of frozen, imported, calamari that was well overcooked and chips that didn't even taste like potato ... Save your money or risk disappointment!

We ordered grilled and crumbed fish, chips, a chicko roll and potato cake. The fish tasted nice, but they didn't put salt on the chips, the potato cake tasted like cardboard and they gave us a spring roll instead of a chicko roll. We also both had symptoms of food poisoning after eating here.

Wasn't told to keep my receipt and present it when collecting food. Rude old woman would not give me food even after I could tell her exactly what was on the order and the exact cost. Finally after argument and me willing to show her my private banking details she pushed it over the counter to me.insinuated I was athief and trying to take others order. Food was very small portions for price. Will not come back as this is not how to conduct business.

Compared to Fish & Chips elsewhere in Brighton, this place does it the best. Chips and fish are crispy and fresh. Ask for extra chicken salt if you like a bit more flavour in your chips. Have been here 3 times now and have enjoyed my food, always leaving wanting more. Will be back for sure!

An evening beach outing to grab some fish and chips, sit on the beach and watch the sun set saw myself and my two teenage children stop in and grab some food from this little shop prominently placed on the Brighton esplanade. Whilst one can wear the expense of convenient fish and chips right next to the beach, the quality of the food was a tad lacking. We ordered grilled fish, some chips and chicken nuggets. The chips were oil laden poorly salted and tasted a little of old oil. The grilled fish was slightly over cooked and a little dry. The tartare sauce was served warm - which is a personal bug-bear of mine, but may be to others liking. All in all we were left with a heavy oily feeling post consuming most of our food. I would personally recommend sourcing better quality fish and chips before heading down to the beach rather than this seemingly convenient business. M vac

I had ordered chips yesterday and the only thing that I can say about them is that they were not good!!!! I threw them out before finishing them!! Such a waste of food! Being a takeaway shop close to the beach most would expect the chips to be good but they aren't. Don't waste your money here!

Despite the mixed reviews we took our chances. The food was good. It was a hot night and the area was busy so they warned us of the wait time. I'd say to the one star reviewers, if you don't want greasy food you probably shouldn't be buying fish and chips. For those complaining about the wait time, go walk to the end of the jetty and back.

Portions are huge for the price - $13 for large chips which could easily feed a family of 4 (and I'm a big eater). $7 for a piece of fish and $2 each for squid rings are also great value.The oil mustn't be hot enough because everything was very oily and overcooked. Very crunchy chips, and not in a good way.

The queue out the door isn’t because it’s good, it’s because they make you wait 30 mins for your order. Ordered fish and chips here last night and spend over $30 for the 2 of us, which I thought was quite steep for some fish, calimari and chips (you have to pay extra for lemon). The customer service by the cashier was incredibly average and strange… when I asked if they did a ‘fish of the day’ or something of the sorts she just stared at me? But, we were hopeful that the food would at least be good to make up for it. Whilst waiting for over 30 mins (and we weren’t told it would be that long) I googled the place and saw all the recent 1 star reviews and decided to lower my expectations. When we finally got the food it was just terrible. The calimari was pooled in oil & the fish was really average, just so much oil. Chips were OK. We probably ate 1/4 of the whole meal as we were so hungry and then went to pub over the road. So disappointing and inedible.
