This station is extremely crowded, having to commute through it everyday. There are now less express services meaning that the thousands of daily Bankstown Line commuters have to catch full trains. People are shoved into train carriages with all seats full and people required to stand inside lower and upper decks. When the train pulls into Strathfield and a lot of people get off, it is almost impossible to push through the crowd to get to the doors. Overall, an overcrowded station with too little express service and each train requiring to go through Flemington, Strathfield, Burwood and Ashfield to get to the city.

Nice open station with plenty of friendly staff around. Could use more seating at the ends of each platform and particularly under the covered waiting areas.Can be prone to changing train platforms at short notice so make sure you pay attention to announcements.

Your average station. Gets busy when the Easter show is on and when there's an important event in Olympic Park.The staff are always at the gates so you can ask questions. In the past lots of platform changes used to be annoying especially when you wear headphones or something.

Nice and clean station platforms. Lidcombe railway station is located on the Main Suburban line, serving the Sydney suburb of Lidcombe. It is served by Sydney Trains T1 Western, T2 Inner West & Leppington, T3 Bankstown and T7 Olympic line services.

Generally good apart from the fact that a lot of the trains here are old and you can never tell where you are going to stop. So you might miss your stop without even realizing it. Though it is a nice train station with many stops and many nice workers there that are always willing to help

Foot traffic at this train station increased dramatically in October 2017 when the state government made major changes to the Sydney train timetable. Express trains to the city leave from this station, so do all-station trains to the city and western suburbs. Trains for Olympic Park and Bankstown also depart from this train station. There is plenty of shelter here. Lifts to the platforms. Toilets. Newsagency is located upstairs. Variety of shops located on both sides of the railway line.

The review is for the Kiosk inside the station even though John and Ross make their poor mum work the afternoon shift they are still top blokes. They also have a crazy good range of American drinks and sweets in the shop and sometimes English snacks. Defo worth a visit for munchies.

WORST station in Sydney, trains always late. DANGEROUS STAIRS, I've seen many people trip over when going up the stairs at this station. I've also tripped over myself.
