Orroroo Rock Poem

This site, is a gem BUT requiring some TLC as the poem is being a urgently need of restoration, the steps up and down need some maintenance as this also being the Track walk from the park next to the Golf club House.DON'T LET IT DISAPPEAR .

Am unexpected little treasure from another time. It is such a beautiful little hidden place and a reflectful moment was had when it was finally reached and the poem read. It was a little difficult to find the place as it isn't that well signposted but as there is a lot of upgrading works going on at the picnic area nearby I can see that is all about to change. The picnic area and adjacent spring fed creek and walk, as well as the aboriginal rock carvings are a must stop and see place in Orroroo. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I got a little confused trying to find the poem as the only walk direction map was at the start of the trail.

Quiet, windy and relaxing. A great place to see the farmland of southern Australia.

Well worth a look but watch the steps on a wet day

Orroroo is a fantastic place there's a lot more to offer than most people would think including Magnetic Hill giant Gumtree and a lovely walk from the caravan park to the Reservoir a very clean caravan parks with cabins I fully recommend this stay

The path to the rock poem has sadly been washed away and desperately needs to be repaired/replaced, my companion and I couldn't make it to the top with the bottom of the stairs completely missing.I do hope it's repaired, so that next time we drive through, we may see this little piece of local history.
