A beautiful little jewel in our beloved Hills. A great range of kids books, religious and spirituality books and the store is laid out in a manner that is easy to navigate. The ladies working here have always been super friendly to me and I love that they leave you alone to browse but if you need assistance they help you straight away.

One of my favourite bookshops in Melbourne. Always worth a browse if you're up in the Hills. Awesome selection of kids books too. They even stock a good range of basic art supplies. If you're ordering online and the item you want is not in stock, give them a call and they can usually order something in. Great service, beautiful people.

Always love coming here. They are open quite late some nights so can be a good option for an after work treat. A great selection of art supplies and some really great books. Quite often I'll find a few I've been 'chasing' marked down super cheap in the shelves. I used to be local for many years, but now I've had to move further away, I still try and get here when I can. Love this shop. :)

Myself and my girls absolutely love the book barn. I've been going to book barn for 16years, being a local. I have always found the shop welcoming, kid friendly and clean. I love the shop being open late at night, its that extra bonus when waiting for take away orders having a browse.Keep up the fantastic work. :)

Incredible selection of high quality children's educational books. This is my go-to place for gorgeously illustrated picture books on dinosaurs, mushrooms, skeletons and all sorts of other things. So far all kids have loved their gifts!Also a great selection of beautiful cards and paper, so the whole present-buying experience is taken care of. I love this shop!

I went in to get a protractor, or at least that's what I thought they were called. I was rudely greeted at the door and profiled. Before I finished asking they said they didn't have them, considering they were an art supply place it shouldn't be such a triggering question. I wasn't sure if I got the name right but halfway through my next sentence I was told by them talking over me with I'm trying to tell you we don't sell them!" Then the person stormed out the door. I was also there for many other things

I love this store and I especially love that I don't have to travel 'off the mountain' to buy a book. I visit this store a few times each year to buy gifts for my fellow book loving family members. If I need a recommendation, I find the staff very helpful and knowledgeable .I also love that I can buy my two kids a small present to keep them happy while I'm browsing.
