Arajilla Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Arajilla! The Banyan room was lovely and spacious. The food and service were EXCELLENT!!! We were very well taken care of and we would return to Arajilla in our next visit to Lord Howe Island. We had an absolutely amazing time in Lord Howe Island, staying at beautiful Arajilla. From the welcoming owners to the fantastic staff, Michelle, Ben, Janna, Hannah, and the incredible chefs, we can’t rate you highly enough. A special thanks to Jolin for all her assistance in getting us there. The suite was extremely comfortable, the food 5 star and the location on Old Settlement Beach was great. The only negative was having to leave after 7 memorable days.

We recently spent 5 nights at Arajilla with my partner and we loved it. The location is great - only a few steps away from Old Settlement Beach - and very quiet. We enjoyed the great and friendly service from the all the staff. The food was absolutely amazing and is one of the highlight of our stay. We were served sophisticated and balanced menus every day. Yummy.

We spent a much need time away in Lord Howe Island last week. My husband spends a lot of time researching on the location and things to do so we are a lot more informed than most people, including the choice of accommodation. Certainly Arajilla isn't the most exclusive or expensive, but the ease and friendliness that the setup and service exuded was exceptional. Ask yourself why you go back to the same resort again if that has happened to you in the past? I'd say food has something to do with it. Same at Arajilla, we are so looked after by the chef, every dish we had was well presented, made with premium protein and fresh and locally sourced vegetables. Staff: I still remember all of their names: Michelle, Teagan, Sam, Jana, Olivia, and Dean! Thank you, you have certainly left a fantastic impression.

Arajilla is beautiful place to stay. The service went beyond my expectations. James, the resort manager, was very professional and accommodating (he went out of his way to remember facts about our trip).Arajilla offers breakfast, lunch, pre-dinner cocktails & canapes, complementary wine list, and a three course dinner. Every day the menu changed and the food is so fresh.Arajilla is a short distance walk to Old Settlement, Ned's Beach, tour sheds, hikes, the town centre and the lagoon.So why not indulge while on holiday? Arajilla will take great care of you.

We stayed at Arajilla for 7 nights in a Banyan suite that had rooms adjoining either side. New Neighbours every 2 days! And as these suites had a common floor we could hear neighbouring guests moving and speaking. Not quite the relaxing, private get away advertised!Meals on the menu along with meat, seafood, salad and fresh fruit was limited due to the lack of fresh produce on the island. The young staff were friendly and when requested were obliging. However, we were extremely disappointed when we were not extended a late check out on our day of afternoon departure and had to wait in the lounge area with our hand luggage for the day. The other 5 guests that departed with us on our afternoon flight did not request a late check-out however were offered one the night before. As we had stayed at Arajilla for 7 nights and the other guests stayed 2-4 nights we were obviously dissatisfied. We would return to Lord Howe Island however not Arajilla.

I have been trying to book a holiday here for the past three weeks for next year. I tried to book a holiday directly and couldn't get through on the phone number, and you can not leave a message. The website seems unmaintained concerning deals from 2018, so I wasn't keen to use the contact form? So I tried booking through two agents, and they couldn't get any response for my booking to be confirmed. If their main stakeholders can not receive a receipt of bookings, what hope would we regular civilians/ customers have in getting confirmation? It makes you wonder if this is the service at the sales stage, imagine if you had an issue or special requirements? I'd recommend booking with another hotel as this hotel admin is beyond slack. Earls Anchorage has been excellent and values its customers.

So lucky to enjoy a delicious Mothers Day dinner at this beautiful retreat. Food and service were superb. Thank you!
