The Gem Hotel

Nice neat clean new rooms. All the features you need but basic room could be a little small for two people or if you stay is longer than a night

Room was beautifully clean, fresh and well appointed. Staff were friendly and the hotel is situation in the middle of Griffith main st so an easy walk to all the shops.

Amazing! We were so lucky to get the King Suite with a bath. It is luxurious! The location is perfect and the staff are just gorgeous. Have cocktails at the bar then go for a sumptuous steak at the Bull and Bell. How good is Griffith? Come and find out what a Gem it is and stay at The Gem!

We stayed in one of the petite rooms. As the name suggests this is one of the smaller rooms on offer. Unfortunately didn't take photos as we had come in from spending a few hours in 38° Heat and had thrown our clothes and belongings across the room in order to take advantage of the excellent air conditioning.This was evident immediately as we entered the reception area and escaped the heat.We were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member by the name of Shirley.Shirley was awesome and provided us with info on the hotel ... cocktail bar ... sports bar and restaurant.She also provided excellent local knowledge of alternatives including price ranges ... dietary options and locations.The Hotel was apparently renovated in recent times and several locals while out and about commented on the amazing transformation in general conversation.As mentioned the room was on the smaller side but was more than adequate with the inclusion of a fridge (mini bar) writing desk and chair ... reasonable sized smart TV with excellent Wi-Fi access.The place was clean and fresh. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was ample size and shower had good constant pressure.

Excellent hotel stay in centre of town. although you don’t want to stay in your room the entire stay it was very tiny with just enough leg room around bed and one person at a time in the bathroom. Staff excellent and super friendly.

We were upgraded from The Griff motel due to road works. What a wonderful place. Very clean, big rooms, comfy bed. Right in the middle with easy access to eateries within walking distance. We arrived on a public holiday and the staff suggested the restaurants that were open. Very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

A really great stay in a lovely hotel. Usually road trip hotels are quite drab, this one was excellent. We booked online a few hours before arrival, King Deluxe for $180. Arriving late we opted to park out the front rather than find the carpark. The receptionist was lovely with out late check in. The room had everything you need and complimentary water. It was perfectly clean and a big soft bed, only downside were the terrible pillows. Definitely would stay here again though.

Very clean, comfortable bed. Petite room is fine for an overnight stay but any longer I would upgrade. Staff are nice to deal with.
