Best curry I’ve had in Australia! I had the eggplant and potato curry (medium spice) with coconut rice, and my partner went for the chickpea masala (mild spice) - both were delicious and spiced perfectly. The vegetable pakora were amazing too! It was prepared quickly, with very generous portion sizes. Highly recommend if you’re in Torquay!

Anyone visiting Torquay can eat at Malta Indian restaurant with complete confidence.Our table of 4 enjoyed the mixed sizzling platter for entrèes, lamb Rogan Josh, chilli chicken, beef vindaloo, accompanied with naan, roti & rice.Nothing short of magnificent.Hope this review helps with your future dining choice.

Restaurant was open but they refused to serve even take away. It should have put closed if not serving. Chef refused to cook and said closed. We had high expectations after seeing their reviews but they disappointed us. Not recommending them sorry

My wife & I ate at Malta last night, except for one other table we were the only ones in the restaurant, the service was terrible, we had to wait for over half an hour before we were served our entrees. They are more concerned with take way than table service.The toilet was out of order & they did not have items available from the menu.The chicken curry we ordered was crumbled & deep fried like KFC, strange Indian food.We will not go back as it was just not good enough to try again especially when there are far more better offerings in the area.

Food was mostly ok, but the naan bread was disappointing it was more like flat Turkish bread and hard. Staff were friendly. Main meals took quite a while to come out even though there were only 4 tables occupied, so it seemed like takeaway was the priority.Decor/atmosphere was not that cozy . Perhaps it's because the kitchen is too open.Wasn't happy that we couldn't get a printed bill at the end, so we couldn't check exactly what they charged us. I've never really been to a restaurant that can't give you an itemised bill in Australia before :(
