That was possibly the best meal I've ever had. We got the set menu and it was so worthwhile, so many astounding dishes. They were so good they kind of didn't make sense, how is it possible to put a few ingredients together and produce what we ate last night? Even something as simple as the Dashi had that extra hint of magic... It's simply mind boggling.Service was also great, efficient and friendly..I've since been back. The shock of amazing food fades, but it is still worthwhile revisiting.

Modern Japanese food. Great, friendly (reserved, but attentive) service. Great food. The menu was full of fresh ideas from some different fish for the sashimi, to the fried taro entree, to the option of adding sea urchin to our scallops, to the 'hero' fish head main dish! A few novel drink options as well and a well thought out wine list as well. Easy to get to. Should book ahead as it is a small restaurant that is booked a few weeks in advance.

Outstanding. One of the best Japanese dining experiences I've had outside of Japan. Great use of sustainable fish, delicious sauces, quality ingredients and friendly service. We all left in awe. Can't wait to go back. Don't be put off by the short drive to Mudgeeraba from the Gold Coast, and well worth the trip from Brisbane with a designated driver!! Just loved it.

Awesome new food experience for me ,I know your place from my Japanese friend.To be honest your food make me excited after long time I don't have any feeling with food.Also I working in hospitality as well,I need to say your food,staff and environmental is amazing.Thank you for your amazing work for my wife birthday party.Will to see you again soon for next Omakase.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had! The food is amazing, and the staff so pleasant. We had a late reservation and my young daughter also couldn’t eat most of the dishes so my hubby took her out to get some food and when he came back it was past their closing time. The staff was immensely understanding and patient and even reheated his food for him! I would definitely be coming back soon and telling my friends about this gorgeous place.

This place is amazing! Best Japanese restaurant in Gold Coast. We came here twice in past two weeks. The atmosphere is superb and the staff is really friendly and observant. The table next to us talked too loud while having their dinner. Without our complaining, the staff went to their table and friendly tell them to lower their voice. Great place to enjoy Japanese meal.

This marks one of our favourite Japanese Restaurant in Gold Coast!We really enjoyed our date night here at Anekawa. We requested to be seated at the bar to watch chefs make our 9 course omakase, was a very enjoyable show for us. We would be back regularly for sure!Food was divine, made from seasonal fresh local produce and love from the chefs!Service from Colleen and Rachel welcoming and warm, lovely to chat with! We hope to see you both again!Thank you for an amazing experience!
