Austral Clotheslines NSW

Absolute disgrace.When You try an support australian businesses. Bought a retractable 50m clothesline and never had over 8kg load on it at anyone time. Within 10months stops working (stops retracting). A call from austral (grumpy old man) telling me to pull the unit apart and try to fix it myself as the locking mech sometimes gets stuck, also telling me why would i get a 50m for an 8meter run. Locking mech was working perfectly even after pulling apart.. Call back telling me yeah the lines get some issues from the wind and rain (it's an outdoor unit) and i will need to pay to send it away and pay to fix it even though it's still under warranty.Thanks Austral, never again!

Service level is poor and so is quality of the product. I purchased the Austral 45 clothesline 12 months ago and the outer clips holding the line has become lose . I raised the issue with Austral and was advised the wind is the factor which caused it .... hello clothesline is bound to face this and where is the warranty clause . Austral’s advice was to purchase a new pack of clips and replace it ... terrible service and quality! Buyers look for other better durable brands in the market.
