Fantastic!! Their Syrian coffee is a real treat. Falafel roll has the best pickles vege inside. Always friendly service. Yummy biscuits too.

Shamiat Authentic Syrian Restaurant
This middle eastern restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Melbourne the atmosphere and the service is exceptional. Food is unbelievable. It’s run by a family of grandparents parents and children. The care is given to customers is excellent. We will be back there and it gives me pleasure to introduce this restaurant to my friends .

Amazing food, warm and generous service, a great selection of vegetarian and meat dishes. Barely saved room for dessert! I can’t wait to come back and try it all again. I highly recommend!

Shamiat Authentic Syrian Restaurant
I question the 4.8 review I saw elsewhere for this restaurant, and our guests had also heard great things about it. The place was VERY noisy (poor design), the food wasn't great (very dry meat) and the service was hopeless. A table for twelve received great service, but we had to ask three times for our plates to be cleared and even then not all was taken, we asked for things and they didn't arrive, and when I went to pay I received an extremely high bill for four people. I am not sure how a $40 banquet for 4 becomes over $300 when we only had soda water and coffee as an extra. I am glad I questioned it!!!! Nice enough owners, but never again!

What a great little place! Amazing Syrian food (with excellent vegetarian options) in a beautifully decorated restaurant with super friendly people running this local family business. We came in for a late takeaway lunch, will be back to eat in with our family very soon.

Super delicious Syrian food with a wealth of interesting vegan and vegetarian options. The falafel is some of the best around - so light and fluffy and well flavoured, even before a drizzle of tahini or swipe of hummus (though both are highly recommended).The muhamammara is also incredible as a side with some bread or paired with a bite of falafel or cute, doughy sambousek. If you’re gonna visit, I recommend doing so with a group (or big appetite) so you can try a bit of everything.
