First Gear have been wonderful in helping my daughter gain the confidence & skills she needs to learn how to be a safe & considerate driver. We have purchased 2 packages now, & our son also had some lessons & passed his test for his licence with their help on his first go. I highly recommend the team for automatic & manual lessons. Their package fees are more affordable than most other providers in the area. They do their best to work in with your schedule, thanks also to Gemma who helps put everything together. I wouldn't use these after seeing one of there instructors in a grey mazda pull out over from the brake down lane in two lanes of traffic right in front of a Bdouble at 100Kph surprised old mate did well pulling it up and not smashing in to the back of him the proceeds to give the bdouble driver the finger real class act this company is

I previously had a bad experience with another driving school which really put me off lessons, but after having 4 lessons with Gary Taylor, I passed my practical driving test first go with no mistakes recorded!Gary was super friendly, helpful and made me feel really comfortable.Thank you Gary Taylor for giving me the confidence and skill to pass my P's.

I highly recommend Kevin. He has taken my son for all his lessons and is building his confidence one session at a time. I am highly impressed with my sons driving knowledge which is cementing the road code further in his brain.Gemma in the office was very helpful answering all my questions before purchasing, and their booking online system is super easy to navigate.

Never ever go to this school, they charged a hefty package and the driving test package, but at the time of driving test had bald tire, that sqaundered the whole effort of my wife taking so many lessons and nothing at the end. The compensation was just a one lesson after a long time.Totally disappointed and waste of money. look somewhere else if you dont want to loose your money and confidence.

Joanne Stevens is a exceptional instructor, after a bad experience with a instructor from a different company we changed over to Joanne. She was recommended for people with high anxiety, she definitely had a calming affect on my son, his confidence improved instantly. She is compassionate and professional but also really fun. He loves driving again now. Thanks Joanne.

First Gear were excellent at teaching my daughter to drive. We had initial concerns as she has been diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum and can be a difficult student. First Gear's instructors were patient and punctual. Giving notice if events were to cause a late arrival which was appreciated. They also coped very well with us changing the schedule which as a busy family happened often. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to get their children taught with clarity and patience.
