Westbourne Grammar School

Not good

Not worth the money. Similar results to local primary schools. Only goes to year 3 then you have to transfer to Werribee campus. This campus goes to VCE but it doesn't compete with the better state and private schools. VCE results are not outstanding.Private school is no longer a guarantee of a job as I know plenty of graduates of the so-called best schools that also completed first class degrees and cannot get jobs. Specializing too early is a mistake. A review of the emphasis and money spent on STEM subjects shows that there have not been the returns. Broadbased traditional education gives the best results. For example despite all the bells and whistles put into teaching a second language the outcomes are poor. This is because you can only learn a second language if you are around native speakers and/or with parents that also speak the language. It takes 500 hours of tuition to get the basics and a 1000 to have any grasp of the language. That's one to two years of full time study. Like learning a musical instrument its hard and takes a lot of practice.

That school only cares about investing money on property and business only.

A lovely little Grammer School for a child to start their school career. Our experience had been very friendly, accountable & easily contactable teachers & staff.Our daughter has loved her first year here.This is a prep grade 4 Campus of Westbourne Grammer School.

I would say westbourne (Williamstown Campus) is definitely the best private schools in the west, my daughter loved the time at Westbourne. Small classes and teachers are awesome especially thanks to Mrs Colvin and Mr Menzies and Mr Chrisanthou, you made this school a great school !
