My wife and I just had lunch here, without a doubt, the best food we've had in the Clare Valley. Great friendly service, a great menu with great choices. We highly recommend this venue.

This is hands down the best restaurant in Clare Valley. 10/10 for the food. All local produce. My wife and I had the schnitzel and the fettuccine polpette. Best we've ever had. The local wines are handpicked to match the seasonal menu which was a nice touch.

Good pizzas but terrible service. We turned up for a late lunch at 2.20pm and they close at 3. We were told that they weren’t sure if they could help us and would have to check with the kitchen. When the lady came back she said that we could get take away menu only. We felt completely unwelcome. Wouldn’t recommend. She closed up before 3 and we had to ask for the toilets to be opened so we could use them and were felt like a massive inconvenience. If the kitchen closes at a specific time before your closing time, advertise it so people can take their business elsewhere.

The Uppside is an excellent way to enjoy a warm summer evening or any time really. Easy access and friendly smiles on arrival accompanied by great customer service. An excellent seasonal menu featuring home grown produce which is adjusted to all tastes. Gluten free and vegan options also available. Congratulations to Chris, Katie and their team for a great meal, wines and welcoming country atmosphere. Highly recommended when visiting the Clare Valley.

The food is amazing here! We stopped by whilst cycling the Riesling trail this weekend. The home made gnocchi was the best I've had in Adelaide and the pizza was great too! The staff are welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed our time here.

Rudely turned away with the explanation: “We’re not taking any more walk-ins” when there were plenty of tables free and only about 15 people dining. We were two couples and four children, looking for lunch after following the sign advertising to this restaurant on the Riesling Trail. We then asked if we could have take-away or just a pizza for the kids as they were hungry after a long ride. The response was a short no. We understand restaurants can have staffing and resulting capacity problems - but there is no need to be rude about turning people away.

Yellow flags on the road to Clare prompted us to stop and try this new restaurant . They accommodated my dietry needs. The Pizza shared with my friends was delicious and made with love. Lots of local wines and beers to choose from.

The food is ok, but I found the ambience (view) to be non existent. You eat in one concrete room. To me the Decor seemed to have little thought put into it. I found the Staff ok on the day.

Visited the UPPside and walked in and sat outside where there was a gas heater placed next to us. We turned it on as it was quite cold outside. My partner had left the table to where I was greeted by a staff member asking me why the heater was on and why not sit inside instead as it “costs money”. We preferred sitting outside so we could take in the view whilst enjoying a meal. I apologised and said that’s fine we can turn it off it doesn’t bother us. The way I was spoken to was unnecessary and made me feel unwelcome. Why have a gas heater in the outdoor area if it can’t be used.
