The unpowered/tent sites are very nice with private access to the beach - on a nice and sunny day. However they are pretty much useless on a rainy day: no shelter from the wind or rain, the sites are very exposed, my patch was very hard and I couldn’t properly put the pegs in to secure my tent which was not helpful in the heavy rain and strong wind gusts. The sand or ground also forms puddles during rain, even under your tent. The toilets don’t have light or soap and get wet in the rain since the window above is only mesh (the powered sites have proper toilets!). There’s only a cold shower for the tent sites, the hot shower again is reserved only for the powered sites (which you still have to pay extra so no reason to exclude the tenting campers!). And there are fierce rodents and possums around which chewed through my panniers. A pretty terrible stay all in all!

Beautiful place, your tent is right in front of the beach and a short drive to the trekking staring points (Mt. Amos, wineglass bay).Toilets are clean, drinkable water available and cold water showers as well. You need the national park pass. Each night is AUD13 for two people and AUD5 for an extra person. You need to book in advance, but we were lucky and found a spot due to a cancelation.Too many mosquitoes so I advice taking repellent !I highly recommend this campground!

Options for powered and unpowered sites, along with water and gold coin showers. Amazing location and a great base camp to explore the National Park for a few days. Ideal with good weather.

Great location, right on the beach overlooking the mountains. If you've booked a powered campsite make sure you get there before the visitor centre closes, there is no after-hours phone if you turn up later and some else is in your booked/paid for spot

Very cheap, paid $16 for a powered site , directly across from the beach, clean toilets and showers, $2 for 4 minutes of hot water. For the price you pay absolutely no complaints

Beautiful, outstanding scene, long Long Beach. Camp site with power and unpowered site, very relaxing with the natural. Price was reasonable and full with facilities. Toilet, shower, BBQ area and many more. If u plan to visit here end of dec to feb, u have to submitted your application before 31 July. Ballot system drawn will be held on august due to high Demand of campsite using on that time. Milky Way will said high to u every night at here. If u lucky enough, u might have a chance to chase the aurora borealis too.

Great spot to camp for the weekend. We took a van and stayed at Richardsons beach. Close to honeymoon bay and the start of the walks to wine house bay and Mount Amos! Spots for coffee and meals in Cole’s Bay. And Bicheno is only a 30 minute drive away to visit too!
