Our experience with DIY Shutters has been very positive. Chris helped us design the best style shutters for two bedrooms. This included 2 large windows and 2 large doors.We appreciated the fact that most of the preparation is carried out in Queensland and not overseas.The painted timber shutters look attractive. We were very happy with the quality of the shutters, price and service. If you prefer timber shutters rather than the plastic ones, I would highly recommend DIYShutters.com.au. We recently put in shutters for an ensuite bathroom with double hung windows and will definitely use them again for future work. I measured and installed the ones we ordered myself - I actually made a mistake in the original measurements but Chris came up with a great solution and I then installed and very happy with the finished product.

The result was three bedrooms where sleeping conditions are great due to minimal light penetrating the shutters. The overall finish is simple and smart because of the reduction in the framework. Our 15 year old western red cedar shutters were given a much needed revamp by Chris and his team. The shutters were sanded , Minor repairs done and coated in two pac with white paint colour of our choice. We are very happy with the results and pleased to have up cycled our timber shutters rather then just replacing them with plastic. Thank you , great job!

We had no hesitation in going back to DIY Shutters when we needed additional plantation shutters. This time we opted for supply only and I, although being 72 years old, installed them easily. The helpful manager of DIY Shutters, Chris, gave me simple instructions about attaching the shutter hinges to the window reveals and then lifting the shutters onto the hinges and screwing the hinges into the rebates in the shutters. Anyone who can use a screwdriver can do it. Thanks Chris for a really great product.
