The food was nice but the serve of chips was bland tiny and I was completely flabbergast when I was told that 1 piece of fish with a Serving of chips 4 calamari 6 prawn cutlets a seafood stick and a bottle of water was $54.10 and I was not told the price when I ordered on the ph I’m not a cheap person but I really think this was very overpriced and overrated

Nothing jumps out as being special here the chips are good battered fish was a little oily.I find the menu distracting with the main menu behind the counter then to the right side another menu..The staff are polite and the food is good enough to stop here and with a playground near by and the Ansett museum its a good rest stop

Best fish and chips I’ve had in mainland Australia. Most fish and chips are rubbish over here (I am from the UK). Lovely thick butterfish and good size portions. Still no mushy peas though!

Probably the worst fish and chips in town, whiting was slimy mush didn't taste good at all, way too much batter same goes for the piece of butterfish tastes like it has been frozen for 12 months. The chips were very average not crispy at all very oily.

The Dim Sim are the best ever!!! Crunchy on outside, fluffy in centre and not greasy. A perfect balance.Chicken souvlaki was delicious, didn't leak sauce and was super flavoursome.Do yourself a favour if you're travelling through, it's a perfect place to get takeaway, then eat and enjoy the lake view.

I appreciate getting a burger pack, and finding the burger exceptionally hard to eat without making a mess due to the size and amount of filling in the burger. This was definitely a needs a plate burger. Great job team. Looking forward to my next visit.

Just had flake, chips and potato cakes with plain salt and vinegar . This was the best feeds of fish and chips we have had in a long time. Thank you to the staff at Lakeside for a fantastic meal, keep up the good work. Thanks again Andrew and Rose.
