A traditional Aussie pub/RSL from the 80's, not much has changed from back then! Reasonable enough food and nice service but it is a bit dated, comfy for those seeking nostalgia.

Don't go off the menu online or on wall neither exist. Printout menu very poor. Over cooked dried out. Oil needs changing.Dessert was nice

Considering the lack of good restaurants let alone ANY in Strahan the Tavern pub was a great option with children and food was good. Lost a star for the lack of atmosphere and the bland side salad but all in all a positive dine in for an easy family friendly meal.

If you want a tasty meal - this is not the place to go! Slow service, they messed up our order, we ordered dozen oysters, which they gave to another table, so we got 2 1/2 dozen oysters, 1/2 hour apart, and when mains finally arrived it was cold, frozen veg, watery frozen prawns and the worst garlic sauce(more like water).
