Went in to have a browse while I was waiting for my husband to finish up his surf, had no expectations then got chatting with Neil. Told him about where I’m at with my surfing and what my blocks are at the moment and that I’m potentially looking for a mid length board for more versatility.This guy is a legend and really knows his stuff! He spent the time to chat with me about technique, types of boards and why I might be having the trouble I am at the moment. He suggested the perfect board for me and didn’t pressure me into anything as I said I would have a think about it.I came back the next day and he had it prepared on the rack ready to set it up. He was confident this was the board for me.. and what a game changer! I have had the best surfs and breakthroughs on this board and it was just what I needed.He set it all up, put the fins in and even waxed it up for me!Neil and the crew at Alex surf shop genuinely care and want you to have the best surf experience. They take the time to talk and listen and will recommend boards that are the best fit for you not whatever is the most expensive (he could have upsold me to far more pricey boards outside of my capability).Small business who truly cares.I was so blown away I had to call him to tell him about my Stoke on my new baby!10/10 service.

What a cool surf shop! Forget Surfboard warehouse this place has all the quality gear you need to surf your brains out! The owner is very friendly and helpful and does not pressure you.

I've been doing business with Neil and staff for a number of years and found their service and support excellent. They're always willing to help out, give sound advice and I have always been given a good deal. Whether it's custom boards or accessories. The staff have (every time) been friendly and very helpful.Go check them out. I don't think you'd be disappointed. From my experience with them. I certainly haven't.

Great shop, heaps of boards for sale, even rentals available. The shop assistant was super helpful today and although they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, they pointed me in the right direction.
