The Salvation Army Family Store - Neutral Bay
Went in about 5 mins ago to donate lots of high quality things that I simply can’t take with me to my new smaller unit. Was met with an exceedingly rude man who told me to take my stuff away. There are currently floods affecting northern NSW and surely a good quality blanket would keep someone in need warm?Definitely won’t be going back here. What a bad taste he left in my mouth. Many other reviews on here mention that guy, should have listened to the reviews and gone elsewhere… oh well.

I was extremely disappointed by the service at my recent visit. All the staff I’ve encountered up to that point were so lovely and hard working. But this time a older man at the front was incredibly rude. Denied me entry because my child was eating in his pram. This has NEVER been an issue before and I’m a regular shopper. My child is content and contained in his pram which I think the staff have always appreciated. I paid for a larking spot out front when I could’ve parked elsewhere for free as I intended to shop for bulky items. So I could easily load them into the car. This particular staff member has multiple complaints against him. I appreciate in your location the rent is expensive so you need to sell a lot of items for more than other stores, but this man is seriously harming your efforts and reducing your sales by turning away regular shoppers and big spenders who simply won’t be returning, myself included. I was able to attend 6 other businesses following this and was never denied entry on the basis of my child eating in his pram. It’s simply not ok to discriminate against families this way who shop here for affordability and can’t afford childcare arrangements for a shopping visit and simply want their child to remain content and cause little disruption in an effort to be considerable to other shoppers. It was extremely upsetting given all the effort I went to with regards to manage my child, my travel and cost of parking. I don’t recommend families shop here anymore as it’s very hurtful being turned away by this horrible worker. The staff at Vinnies and Save Our Children are all much kinder. Salvos would do well to let this man go.

I opened the door, a guy, the owner didn’t let me in and close the door without saying anything. It was during the business hour, I saw few customers inside. I don’t know why he didn’t let me in. So rude and offensive. They also charge too much. Never support this shop ever.

I’m one of the lucky few heading to New Zealand post Covid and I just got everything I needed from the salvation Army. Thank you very much

Good store. lots of variety. One guy behind the counter can be a bit rude if your donations aren't up to his standard. The other staff/volunteers seem very friendly and helpful, and at least show some gratitude for people's efforts.

Went to 5 op shops in Neutral Bay. This was the best one. I ended up buying a lovely sun dress for $12 and a silk shirt in striking print for $15. Bargain! The womens clothing is well laid out and the ladies running this place are on to it. Agree with others though, some pieces were priced quite high ie in the $20-$40 range. But good brands. They know their stuff here.

Love the varieties of clothing the store has including the high end goods which I think is a plus point but little Expensive compared to other shops unless it's a half price sale day.

Huge range of books upstairs. I could’ve spent all day there. The downstairs/main area is a little cramped but I appreciate that op shops do what they can with little resources.
