Our experience as foster carers with this agency was traumatic. They should not be allowed to be involved in out of home care. Our foster child missed out on necessary interventions and we received no support. We were threatened repeatedly. We had to fight to get transferred to another agency and the process took 15 months.We cared for a high needs child and received no support and just the basic allowance: this meant that the child didn’t receive their duty of care and neither did we.Thankfully our new agency has strong ethics, they're supportive and they've helped us to recover from the damaging experience that KARI put us and our child through. We have never received any apology. Nobody has ever wanted our feedback.They simply don't care. If you are considering this agency go elsewhere.

The best organisation in Sydney for kids in out of home care

The worst organisation for Aboriginal childrenThe caseworkers and management are using unqualified people as caseworkers such as transport workers who are support workers to council children.They don’t support foster carers when in need and will not listen to you with concerns to help our children. When you speak up they threaten you with fabricated false allegations and remove your foster children using excuses and they even utilise children as their excuse to cover upMismanaged by management and several caseworkers. They separate siblings rather than encouraging to support siblings to be fostered together. Watch out when you request for respite you never see your foster child return back to your home. It’s a money making business. They don’t care about children it’s just a 9 to 5 job for them and that’s all. No respect for foster carers no appreciation and no sympathy. Horrible place to work with just run run run as far as you can from KARI and especially from the Penrith area. Useless organization. Enough said. Ha
