Platatac

I ordered an Eberlestock Skycrane II in store, after my mate got one through Platatac. It took 6 weeks for my mate’s to arrive (a long time, but acceptable). MINE NEVER ARRIVED. I checked in every couple of months over the phone or in person, they kept on saying it was delayed. I waited patiently, respecting their word. 18 months of this went on. I challenged them on it, they made a few calls and found out it had been given to someone else when it arrived months earlier. I asked them to order it again, months went by again, same thing happened - given to someone else before it even made it to the store. Unbelievable. Sadly this was all in store and over the phone, so I don’t have written record of it.

This company really needs new management. In-stock items can take many days to ship, emails are ignored and most listed items are out of stock. Having recently purchased a few things and still waiting for confirmation of shipping, I emailed them to find out the status of my order. Rather than replying to this email, they sent an email telling me that I should be excited to learn that the items are being prepared, and that they would ship soon". Several hours later

Customer service is really poor, can be helpful at times but always feel disappointed and at times uncomfortable when I dealt with them, sounds like they need a career change or a holiday (Matt and Jackie)Bought a jacket and it did not meet my expectations at all and tried to return the item for a credit. Didn’t want the money back but at least a credit for future use. Well, did they start complaining and I thought they were going to cry and tried to make me feel guilty. So so difficult for them. Wow a company like this cannot factor in product returns. How unprofessional. Now I own a worthless $200 jacket I do not use and worked really really hard for that money and have to wait till next year now but at least this experience has opened my eyes to other companies (currently I buy with SORD, SCORPION PROJECTS, SURVIVAL SUPPLIES etc) and their customer service is amazing. The bloody sleeves are too short!!!

Quick to respond via email, fast delivery and so fast very happy with the product.

I have been shopping with Platatac for at least the last 15 years and they have consistently been great to deal with. Quality gear and the service Matt provides is outstanding. There has been many occasions where i needed an item quickly before heading out for work and Matt was always doing whatever he could to make sure you had your kit before you left. Keep up the good work guys its greatly appreciated.

Awesome store, the gear they stock is amazing and great for any outdoor adventure, they also make their own gear which is well built, I use their gear for both hiking, camping and paintballing. The staff are great and really now their stuff and will help you pick exactly what will best suit you. They have good prices and if their clearing something the prices are ridiculously low and sell fast so you need to be quick

They have gear suitable for hunting that is the same price or cheaper and of a better quality than most typical hunting gear manufacturers .They have brilliant packs and sleep systems. The modular nature of the gear allows you to tailor your kit for the game, environment and duration of your hunt.The quality is excellent. Tough durable fabrics and solid stitching are the norm. All packs i have used have been adjustable to my build and been very comfortable.In short they are my first choice for hunting clothing, packs, accessories and sleep systems.
