If I could give no stars I would. AAMI home assist sent Scully Plumbing to my property to light a hot water system pilot. I was told after 30 seconds that the pilot would not stay on and there were two things that might be faulty with the unit.I had a terrible experience with Gerard nine years ago so I did not accept this diagnosis.This morning I had someone else come who lit the pilot successfully after persevering for a few minutes.Nine years ago Gerard responded to an emergency call out on a Saturday night for a leaking toilet. $450 later and a quote for $2000 plus to repair a roof that is not leaking I fixed the leak myself with a tube of silicon. When I told Gerard his response was this was a band aid fix that would not last. Nine years later the problem is still resolved.I was disappointed that AAMI's service provider was unable to send a different plumber. I was told that Scully Plumbing was the only service they used for the Mornington Peninsula. I would never go near Scully Plumbing again.

I called as my water boiler stopped working. The years of experience kicked in and I was guided with safe, simple troubleshooting tips and within minutes, I got hot water. My cost was zero as he said he didn't believe in charging money unless of it can be done for free. Great guy. Really helpful. Will recommend to anyone.

There is a general conception in the public that all plumbers are crooks. As crooks go, Gerard Scully is the biggest and most dishonest of them all.When I called Gerard the day of the problem indicating that I had a suspected blockage in my stormwater drain, Gerard advised that I would need a specialised service to either high pressure jet/vacuum the obstruction and that I can either book it privately, or through him, but it would be be cheaper if booked through Scully plumbing as he gets 25% discount.A week after the services, Gerard sent me an invoice for a large amount of money, approximately triple what he told me it would be over the phone. When I called Gerard to enquire the charges, he threatened that I pay him.I did some investigation of my own and called the specialised service and received their quote for services, and it was less than a third of the amount from Gerard. So not only has the supposed 25% discount not been passed on, but there is a markup of 200%.

Gerrard was amazing.His communication is top notch, I called him with an exploded hot water system and he arrived and replaced the tank, checked our gas in our house, taught us how to maintain the system and what all the valves and taps do, was polite and just a genuinely nice human being. Tidied up after himself and was affordable!We had a quote to replace the hot water service and he literally saved us 10grand from what we were quoted.Can not reccomend this business any more highly!!! We will be back.
