Hughenden Recreational Lake
A hidden gem in the small community, I called it as Oasis in Hughenden. Place to take your boat or sit on jetty to catch wide range of fish stocked in there. Free to use, lots of benches, shade structures and grassed areas for family picnics. A place to stay and spend time with family.

Townsville Sailing Club were invited to hold a try sailing day, it was great fun with good wind, we hope to have stimulated some interest in sailing in the outback :)

Wonderful resource for this little town. Facilities there with BBQ and picnic areas. Paved walk around the lake and the whole area is well maintained.
