Such lovely ladies! The prices are great, workmanship is brilliant and everything is done in good time and with a smile.My wife has used them a number of times, and has bought some of the clothing they make on the premises. I had some suit trousers altered & struggled to find where the alterations had been made. The workmanship is second only to the brilliant service!I wouldn't dream of taking my business anywhere else & I tell everyone I know about them. I just cannot recommend them enough.

Judy is such a wonderful experienced lady who pays such attention to detail. Her professionalism and years of experience really showcase through her care that she puts into her work. I can’t recommend her enough.

Judy is a very honest and skilled seamstress with a reasonable price structure. I’ve had a number of men’s garments adjusted and the work is always impeccable, which is more than I can say for some of the other seamstresses I have used prior to discovering Judy.

Dropped off a dress to have hem shortened. Was told to come back four days later. She said I am paying extra because the lining needs shortening too. Went to pick it up on agreed day but it was not ready, so had to wait while she fixed and ironed it, even though I had explained that I could not stay long. Tried it on and she had shortened dress but not the lining. She was apologetic and offered to fix it for free but she assumed I had time to come back later that day or week, which I did not. She tried to suggest that I roll up the lining at my waist, but that caused bulk on what was otherwise a smooth garment. I was grateful for her sincere apology and genuine offer to try fix it, which was really very kind. I have no doubt she would have fixed it but timing was a real issue. Still paid full price.

I had rips in both my favourite corduroy shirt and my favourite jacket. Lovely friendly lady (Judy?) did an amazing job on the repair and very quickly. Highly recommend.

As an ex-sewer myself, I was kinda scared to hand the piece of work I had over to someone else. I shouldn't have been concerned, as the job done well exceeded my expectations.Add to this work quality that the lady working at Astor's is an absolute hoot, I can heartily recommend their services!

Judy is an absolute pleasure. I've taken a number of pieces of clothing to her to be fixed or altered over the years and she always does a great job at a good price. I highly recommend her services.

Could not recommend Astor's more highly! Judy has done amazing jobs on things I would be scared to trust many other tailors. She's made jeans fit me perfectly with the tailoring so seamless it's not noticeable (I have a small waist and wider hips making jeans hard to fit well off the rack). I have also had a vintage blazer altered so it sat better on my frame.Her pricing is not cheap but that is reflected in the quality of work done.I'm very impressed and will try to get all my work done at Astor's when I'm in Sydney.

We approached Astors with quite a complicated job on my wife's wedding dress. We had approached about 3 other tailors and they refused to do the job as it was apparently too difficult".The lady at Astors spoke to us and she was more than happy to help. It didn't seem difficult for her. She was very professional and literally showed us what she could do and how she could help. She even made some suggestions and gave advice in bringing my wife's ideas to life.She was very friendly and we had a good chat while she measured up and took some details. She was super easy to deal with.She did an amazing job of creating the dress. She certainly has excellent skills and I was amazed at how amazing the dress looked when she completed the job.This place is 10/10 and she does a far better job for a very reasonable price compared to others. Highly recommended!"

After reading the great reviews about this place I was looking forward to getting a dress altered. I went in with a long dress and was hoping to get it shortened to just above the knee as I wanted to wear it out for my birthday. I went in and the lady was nice and welcoming, once I got the dress on and discussed my options I was advised that I shouldn’t shorten the dress to my desired length as I shouldn’t show this part of my legs because they are bigger and it’s unflattering. After being continually fat shamed multiple times during the consult and after being given her “professional opinion” that I shouldn’t show my legs, I walked out in tears, looks like I will be wearing pants for my birthday, will not be recommending this place to anyone.
