Nepean Private Hospital

I had to spend three nights here after surgery on my back, and all of the staff were just wonderful! Including the several student nurses assisting with my care. They were so patient and never made me feel rushed, and worked with me to support me in ways that were most comfortable for me.I was in a shared room, which had a lovely big window to let in natural light during the day.I was also thrilled with the fantastic meals on offer (usually a nightmare as someone who can't eat several common foods). They have their own chef on site, instead of pre-made meals being provided by an outside company and did a great job of providing healthy and tasty food that I could eat without worrying it would make me sick.

If attending this hospital a face mask is required which is standard in all hospitals at the moment. But when the front desk admin staff tells you to put a mask on or two masks if unvaccinated with the covid vaccine, while she is wearing hers incorrectly (below her nose) kind of makes the hospital look ridiculous.Basically if you like people to take you seriously about your rules make sure your staff especially front desk are doing the same. Other than that nurses and doctors inside are all lovely and professional and the care and attention they had towards my little boy is appreciated.

I’ve had both my children here and I’m so extremely grateful for the doctors, nurses, midwives and admin staff.Their professionalism, experience and kindness is leaps and bounds compared to the public, such a shame they don’t offer a private emergency. Each stay was enjoyable and comfortable. I would highly recommend.

I read every review and talked to anyone who had spent time in any hospital in the last year before committing to Nepean Private (Nov.2022) for a total knee replacement. Speaking with their patient liaison officer Maxine helped immensely. I took my own pillows, sheepskin mattress cover, small switched powerboard and ext'n cord (both new), which meant I was comfortable throughout a 5 night stay despite major surgery.From checkin to discharge their care was faultless and the hospital staff very kind, engaging & quick to respond. Good physio and pain medication was very good.The kitchen deserves an Oscar for their performance: meals I was sad to finish rather than disappointed when the tray arrived.A smaller hospital than NorWest (though still Healthscope),and felt more personal than my stay there.

I had my baby at Nepean Private before Xmas. 1st baby and i had no clue what to do in what order or how much it would cost. I rung the maternity lady there Leah and she was amazing. I was anxious and asked a million questions and not once did she make me feel dumb for not knowing or hurry me off the phone. After taking up 20mins off her time on the phone she even asked for my email address so that she could email me all of her direct contact details should I have any questions throughout my entire pregnancy. Which I bet she later regretted becaus I had plenty lol.She really relaxed me and made it feel like i would be in safe hands for my stay and she was right the entireMaternity ward is amazing. I could not recommend the hospital more. Thank you leah!

Brand new shiny hospital. A lot of money spent on bricks and mortar but admin staff inadequately trained. Was sent upstairs without correct paperwork. Had to go back downstairs and queue again. When patients are already anxious those mistakes are amplified. Save a few bucks on waterfall style counters and spend it on better admin. Also, the e admissions sent to my phone didn't work so I spent 2 hours during a work day going in person to fill it out.

Firstly I was brought in by ambulance and they were amazing, most of the staff at Nepean are kind hard working people, I was left in a corridor on a very old bed with a severe back injury, I could not walk so I asked for a bed pan and was told by the nurse she had a back injury and could not help me and that. Had to wait till the other 2 nurses came back from their breaks 30 minutes later I was finally able to get help to use pan, maybe staggered breaks would have been better so that there was a nurse without a disability to help patients. Day 2 late at night I finally was taken to a private room which was lovely and the staff in the private section were so nice and very helpful and took great pains to make sure I was nearly pain free and comfortable 5 stars to staff at private. The food is dreadful not great at all pre-packaged tasteless inedible non nutritious rubbish. Tv in my room did not work and poor internet. These are my honest opinions. Thanks again nurses *****

I recently had a day surgery, and my experience was excellent at Nepean Private Hospital. Minimal wait times, lovely staff and doctors! The nurses are incredible and so helpful and comforting. I recommend Nepean private hospital!

Had a wonderful experience last Thursday morning while in for day surgery. From the very friendly lady on reception to the male nurse, doing the preparation for surgery, lady preparing me for theatre, the anaesthetist, surgeon and the male nurse in recovery. Such a lovely friendly bunch of absolute professionals.Thank you !!!

Had to wait three hours in their waiting room for a scheduling error for day surgery. Unbelievable in this day and age. Staff were fantastic once surgery commenced, very empathic, attentive with good humour. The nurses in day surgery, they saved this review from being a 1 star.
