An excellent free camp with clean showers. There is a fun looking playground for children. An easy walk to the river. Please make a donation to help maintain it.

This is a fantastic stopover place between Sydney - Adelaide.If you driving any electric car you’re in luck as there’s an NRMA fast EV charger setup in the rear car park.There is a great cafe serving nutritious foods Inc. vegan meals, awesome barista coffees. Also the parking area at the rear of the Balranald Men’s Shed offers 24hr stay for RV and camper-vans. Adjacent to the cafe there are toilets and free showers which are maintained by the community centre. For parents with your children this is also a great stopover as there is a very nice, newly built playground at the front carpark area. The information centre was closed when I arrived yesterday.However, I found plenty of printed information on the local area and parks placed on holders attached to their entry doors. The area has great mobile network coverage.

Beautiful appearance! Playground, skatepark, parkinglot in front and in the back for 24h parking! And best of all.... Toilets and showers! It's not a pretty place to stay and enjoy the view, but they provide a lot for travelers in need! Thank you sooo much.

Great food and great service at the cafe. I had a very nice chai latte - hot, frothy and delicious. Exactly how I like it. The discovery burgers were great and the kids enjoyed their croissants, quiche and smoked salmon bagel. Great bathroom facilities and a lovely little playground for the kids to burn off some energy. The homemade relish is delicious - do yourself a favour and grab a jar.We left with big smiles on our faces.

One of our regular stopping points when travelling between Sydney and Adelaide - great little playground for kids, really nice toilet facilities (showers too if you need them!), nice cafe, easy parking. One day we'll even remember to keep the scooters/skateboards accessible so the kids can play on the nearby skate park too!
